I like that theory actually. It's very plausible that they wanted to be the first out of the chute. They're already spinning it as being close to the 9/11 Commission's Final Report and the DNC Convention, as some plot hatched by the VRWC. They're desperate to get everyone to believe them before any Republican can step forward, set the record straight, and send Berger on his perp walk.

My uncle can attest to that. He spent 25 years in the Air Force dealing with classified documents, and he knows the protocol well, and promised to "put me away" if he accidently blurted out anything he knows that are still considered classified. :)

Those 2, Woodward and Bernstein, wouldn't bother with this story. Only if the repubs were involved would their get up off their duffs and investigate.
Maybe there are some enterprising young investigative reporters who can make their names with this Berger burglary.
This story is so much bigger than Watergate, but Nixon was targeted by the left, and brought down by the media.
If Berger and by extension the clintoons are ever brought to justice, it will be without any help from most of the lamestreamers.
For this National Security Advisor to attribute his behavior here to sloppiness is beyond laughable. He had a job to do for the toons, and he did it. Let's hope he really pays for this coverup.
Exactly, as I first encountered on post 166, this is a Clinton double deal. Here is my take on a few other things on this thread:
1. Forget taking these for the Kerry campaign. Kerry could legitly get such documents. Remember as a presidential candidate he get security briefings if he wants them and could request any document he wants. This is a cover up for Clinton pure and simple.
2. Why does Berger do it? Probably Clinton promised him the skids were greased and no one would know Berger did it. Alternatively, today for Berger is much better than Arkancide.
3. Why does this come out now? To knock Kerry down a peg and reduce his chances of winning. The timing for this to be a Clinton leak is perfect. It damages Kerry. It makes the 9-11 report look more political hurting Kerry further. The timing makes it look like a GOP leak so there are no Clinton finger prints on it.
The "timing" aspect of the liberal spin tonight creates the illusion this was hatched from the GOP War Room, thereby clearing Clinton, Kerry, and Berger of any wrongdoing. In fact, I believe all three, as well as the rest of the Democratic party were involved. Kerry would have been comatose to have been theoretically "out of the loop" for the past 7 or 8 months when all this was bubbling under the surface. Berger blew it wide open when papers were found missing each time he showed up at the National Archives.
I found it interesting the dems were all over the TV saying this was no big deal .. but behind the scenes the dems were telling Kerry to distance himself from Berger.
So .. the truth is the dems know this is BAD but they're lying as usual.

WABC`s John Batchelor`s regular guest,John Loftus has just reported this evening(July 20) that the documents stolen by Berger would have revealed that bill clinton and the clinton administration hired al-qaeda terrorists to fight for the muslims in Kosovo.
Loftus stated the clinton administration provided documents and facilitated travel for the al-qaeda terrorists from Afghanistan to Kosovo to help the islamists fighting for a foothold back into Europe.
I don't remember if it was COSTIND or COSCO, or some other government owned and operated entity, but he was definitely shilling for the Chi-coms.
The only question in my mind is whether or not he'd been willing to expose the United States to attack by China's Third World, Arab allies in order to support the communist PRC.

I have a question. If Comrade Clinton knew all the investigation, shouldn't we assume that Burger Boy ALSO knew and IF he did, why didn't he resign THEN?

And to add to your #3, by knocking Kerry down, Hillary comes in to save the day for the Dems - just in the nick of time at the convention next week. I still think she has a hand in this. Mishandling documents is her specialty.
I doubt it. I think Hitlery wants no part of G. W. Bush. W.J.B.Clinton ran against G.H.W. Bush because he was an outsider and it was his chance as a little known AR Governor to get the nomination. Hitlery does not want it this time around because too many things are out of her control.
For example what if these alledged nukes in Tikrit end up being actually true? She wants 08. She/They wants Kerry to lose this year. This is a nice way to undermine Kerry with no hint it is them doing it.
If people really want to inflict pain on Kerry, it is so simple. Boycott Heinz products and sell off their shares in Heinz stocks. Numerous acquaintanances of mine sold all their stock today and re-invested it in Smuckers.
