When the Hell did he become an "informal" advisor to Kerry? All of the articles I have found until today refer to him as THE CHIEF FOREIGN POLICY ADVISOR to JOHN KERRY!
In an interview published July 9th on the website Bisnow.com Berger is descibed as a "chief foreign policy adviser to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry"

The good news about Berger resigning, it is "ties" him to the Kerry campaign right at the peak of this news cycle. Kerry was going to try and run this under the radar. But now if you look at any news site and read the headlines, here is basically what you see. 1) Berger investigated for removing classified documents. 2) Berger resigns from Kerry campaign.
