The deeper meaning behind Sandy Berger
Dr. Deth | Dr. Deth

Posted on 07/20/2004 10:33:27 AM PDT by Dr.Deth

Fox, CNN, USAToday... Looks the Sandy Berger story does have legs after all. Unlike Max Cleland's latest rant.

Now they have him stuffing documents into his socks. I mean, why else would you put documents there unless you wanted them to disappear forever? Off the foot, into the dryer, and poof. Both sock & doc, gone, never to reappear - except perhaps extruded from a wormhole in the Gamma Quadrant.

And, in a truly inspired moment of hypocrisy, Gurglin' Dave Gergen makes the network rounds trying to spin the whole thing away as 'innocent in intent'. Best one I've heard since the guy who accidentally brutally cut off his own head while shaving. Even the CNN talking head (still attached) wasn't buying it. If Gergen was a 180 pound jet-fueled human dreidel, he couldn't spin enough to slip out of this one. It takes a particularly Kool-Aid laden Katie Couric to even come close to buying what's being shilled.

Oh, and one from the "coincidence of coincidences" department: now I've heard that the 'lost' 'accidentally misplaced' 'classified' documents that weren't returned were drafts by none other than... Richard Clarke. Imagine that. The DNC playmate of the month for April. First, Lyin' Joe "Liar" Plame Wilson, now "Dick" Clarke. Funny how that entire cavalcade of Johnny-come-lately Pulitzer-wannabe shooting-stars, having penned their "Bush lied" screeds, and been celebrated as the noble brave whistle-blowers who tried and tried to tell the truth to the adminstration, are exposed as liars themselves.

The synchronicity is quite fetching - all having their rug pulled out from under them, all at the same time. I'd like to say it's another brilliant Karl Rove strategery, but it's just perfect. Too perfect. It's almost... evil. Which got me to thinking...

It took quite a sacrifice from Camp Clinton to take down the main wedge of Kerry's attack on Bush. Berger falling on the sword here effectively neuters the J+J campaign's main (perhaps only) plank: that Bush lied, and America needs anyone else as President - because God knows that Kerry's main (sole?) qualification to that office is that he is not Bush. Next, we will see Frankenlurch's flank will be exposed, and attacked. And that flank, of course, is Jane Fonda & his postwar dalliances with certain cat-cookies commies. So, who all is going to see "The Manchurian Candidate" next month? "Fahrenheit 451"? Pfft. Peaked too early. The real fun will come when the real skeletons come tumbling out of the Kerry closet. All they need is the slightest push. The betting here says, they'll get it.

Do you really think it's a coincidence that yesterday Frau Hillary came out and said she "would not run against a sitting President Kerry" in '08, and the next day, the Sand-burglar's misdeeds are all over the front page? Believe me, this story would not see the light of day unless Dr. Stalin & the Media Comrades signed off on it. Code words? Maybe, maybe not. But the usual suspects sure have sprung to surprising action, over an issue that 4 years ago would have been papered over (pun intended).

The end result of all of this will be a demoralized Democrat base, and energized Republican base (especially as those desperate Hollyweird flameouts continue, i.e. Ronstadt), a Bush blowout in November, and four years for the real power in the Democratic party to gird for battle. Don't worry, it's a lead pipe cinch that Kerry will end up making Mike Dukakis look like Charlemagne, by comparison. But worry, and worry greatly about 2008. Every underhanded tactic, every fraudulent scheme, every complicit media conspirator will be in play for that one. It will be very, very ugly.

How long before the story of Kerry's leadership in a group that planned assassinations of United States Senators hits the mainstream media?

Doh, cat-cookin' commies. Note to self: Proofread, then proofread some more.

How is that any different than current circumstances?

Rush said that they should have sent Hillary since her pants were big enough to fit a lot more documents than Sandy Burglar's socks.

Where are the real leaders expounding on how to deal with traitors? It is past the time to treat them with the respect the media gives them. They are history! Put them away forever!!

Sounds like a John & Ken (KFI) crusade should be on the horizon.

It's my sense that the media will turn on Kerry, more so after the nomination is locked up. The real DNC power is the Clintons, they (well, she) does not want Kerry to win. Enough stuff will come out to damage the Kerry campaign to make this election much more comfortable than '00.

You're seeing it now, with stories about Berger, about Wilson, about the SOTU yellowcake reference.

The level of election fraud will not match the level achieved for Clinton/Gore. Oh, there'll be the usual fraud on the local level, but Kerry is no Clinton when it comes to organizing this stuff.

They'll still have their hysterical loons claiming the country will cease to exist if Bush gets re-elected, but those guys are usually marginalized. This year they're front-and-center. That's going to be a huge turnoff in the heartland, and even with soccer moms. Clinton would never have stood for that.

Add it all up, and Kerry goes down, just like he was intended to. Wait until after the Convention for the real fun, though.

Remember the Senate "memogate" Democrat scandal? Then Wilson/Plume. Now the Berger Whopper. The pieces are falling into place.

Interesting, except that I think some of in the process of stuffing his socks Burger may have ended up splashing a little 'secret sauce' on Hillary's pink pantsuit.

Yes I do think it is a coincidence and so do, thank God, easily about 90% of the Freepers reading this .

Hello rational world we are conservatives, we believe in reason, not conspiracy.

Believe me, this story would not see the light of day unless Dr. Stalin & the Media Comrades signed off on it

Dear God, spare us this lunacy that it not be paraded before the world to our universal humiliation.

Hmmmmmmm...

Do you think the Clinton's named their cat Socks as an in-joke? Is there some way to do a full audit and get a list of how many documents are missing? Of course now we can't be sure if any (or how many) documents were removed, altered and replaced.

She could have stolen the entire National Archives.
