How is that any different than current circumstances?
It's my sense that the media will turn on Kerry, more so after the nomination is locked up. The real DNC power is the Clintons, they (well, she) does not want Kerry to win. Enough stuff will come out to damage the Kerry campaign to make this election much more comfortable than '00.
You're seeing it now, with stories about Berger, about Wilson, about the SOTU yellowcake reference.
The level of election fraud will not match the level achieved for Clinton/Gore. Oh, there'll be the usual fraud on the local level, but Kerry is no Clinton when it comes to organizing this stuff.
They'll still have their hysterical loons claiming the country will cease to exist if Bush gets re-elected, but those guys are usually marginalized. This year they're front-and-center. That's going to be a huge turnoff in the heartland, and even with soccer moms. Clinton would never have stood for that.
Add it all up, and Kerry goes down, just like he was intended to. Wait until after the Convention for the real fun, though.
