Not to get off topic, but did you know that the current durg laws are a result of DemocRats in the South pushing to criminalize cocaine because they claimed that cocaine made black men go into uncontrollable sexual rages where they would rape white women.

Do you know how many unconstitutional laws exist because of the war on drugs?

The WOD is 90 years old yet you can literally get anything you want for the right price. Isn't it time to surrender and take to extreme profit and the thousands of murders that go along with it out of drugs?

Gangs would disappear practically overnight. There would be no murders over turf if you could get marijuana or cocaine at the local drug store (just like you used to be able to do). The terrorists primary source of income would disappear.

Yes, there would be problems, but are you going to run out and shoot up just because it is legal? Smart people will stay away from drugs and the morons will kill themselves.

Problem easily solved.

They might not be able to search them, but the NYPD would be well within their right to exclude protesters from carrying large packages into a controlled area. They do it all the time at large events in NYC.

"Sweet went on to say that the police intentions to search all bulky bags, blankets and backpacks as a preventative measure was an invasion of privacy."

I suppose this humped-up liberal joke of a judge feels the same way about bags and backpacks brought into his courtroom? Hmmmmmm?

Well then it shouldn't be a problem that if one of these whackos takes something out of their bag that poses a threat that I kick the living crap out of him/her.

I am peaceful. I am calm. I am bringing a video camera.

"I'd HATE to be living DOWNWIND of NYC about now."

Since that means living in New Jersey, I whole-heartedly agree.

If they are not going to allow searches, then they will just have to require that all protester stay outside the city limits, so that the safety of the city can be preserved.

Every private event management company in NYC searches all bulky blankets and bags, as condition of entry, in search of contraband and weapons. To not do so, in what will be a zoo like atmosphere, is asking for pipebombs and chlorine bombs, fireworks, molotov coxktails, extender batons, gas masks, smoke grenades, PVC tubing and handcuffs, and the such to be brought in by the pretty well organized Anarchist kiddies in the outer Boroughs. Every deviant within 100 miles of Manhattan is going to be there. I'm heading to the Jersey Shore that week.

If this Order from this (apparently) Democrat judge is not thrown out on emergency appeal, there is another way to skin this cat. The police could simply announce that no backpacks, blankets or other parcels will be allowed within 4 blocks of the target area.

Anyone carrying such items would either have to leave them behind, stop where they are, or be subject to forceable removal -- but NOT, mind you, any "unconstitutional" search of any packs or parcels.

Problem solved.

See my post #32, which agrees with several other posters. Exclude all people carrying such baggage, WITHOUT bothering to search their bags.

I wonder if this judge is going to stay in town over the weekend and deal with the consequences of his decisions, or if he'll conveniently be "visiting out-of-town family". If there is a strike or if people are killed as a result of this, this judge should go down as an accessory to murder.
