Then Lindsey raised an issue in the media after we now know this investigation was under way. Lindsey's issue was to claim the Bush administration was withholding Clinton administration docs from the 9/11 commission (a charge that turned out to be false, of course).
Surely there must be copies of the documents he "inadvertently" put in his socks, right? What's in those documents that's so damaging??? Intelligence warnings of hijackings? Names of some of those who went on to do 9/11???
I called The NY Tims and NY Post to complain about the story not being reported as the news that it is. The woman I spoke with at the Post told me no one would respond to my comment. I asked her to write the complaint down and hand it to her editor. I hope they get lots and lots of calls today.

And what do Republicans do with classified documents that they do not want anyone to see? They shred them before they reach the archives. Or that's what some of 'em do. Then they are put through a bunch of court appearances and brought before Congress. Then they are let off because of some technicalities. Then they take a job working for the right wing cable news network. And they are paraded around as heroes. What will the left do with Berger? They will give him a show about heroes on CNN or something.

Yep. We can only guess what information the documents contained but if he took them, surely he must have done so to prevent people from seeing them. He wouldn't do that unless there was some need to protect himself or his old boss - or even his new one (Kerry).
Berger is probably gone, but nothing else will come out of this.

It's O.K. though, he was Billy Jeff's 'National Security Mis-Advisor' and he works for the John Kerry Campaign. Perhaps now, after all these years, a Democrat will be held to the same standard as a Republican on the nightly news channels. But don't hold your breath. I love the hollowness of the words in his alleged apology---"...error in judgement..." You see people, all RATS are the same: you can do anything (ANYTHING) and just apologize for it later, the perfect description of 8 years of Bill and Hillary Clintoon.
