This is a matter between the government and an individual," he said. "They were not our documents, and we believe we have access to all the materials we need to see to do our report." This report criticized the Clinton Admn so we weren't planning on using it anyway...

This story is DOA. Anything to do with the clintoons makes a splash and is immediately buried.

David Gergen... said Tuesday, "I think it's more innocent than it looks."

I think it's more sinister than he claims.

"David Gergen, who was an adviser to Clinton and worked with Berger for a time in the White House, said Tuesday, "I think it's more innocent than it looks."

Nice try, t'aint gonna fly. The sheeple aren't that stoopid. In any event, it's a crime and Sandy will be charged. Hence, the preemptive strike with the leak--which came from Berger's camp I would bet....

Gergen said he thought that "it is suspicious" that word of the investigation of Berger would emerge just as the Sept. 11 commission is about to release its report, since "this investigation started months ago."

Wow, typical Clinton/Democrat tactic - hide the crime by attacking the messenger.

Berger is the second high-level Clinton-era official to face controversy over taking classified information home.

Make that third -- Wen Ho Lee.
