Thanks LP. I was actually shocked by the lengths to which Gergen went to carry water for Berger and the Clinton admin and to smear the Republicans with his allegations that this has been trumped up for purposes of distracting attention from the 9/11 report.

I just listened to this, and I cannot believe the spin. Does anyone know if Berger in fact took originals of any of the documents which have now gone missing? Gergen says no.
This is such a huge story, and Gergen has it right...The media can and probably will, choose to bury it.
But I disagree with one point. Berger is shut down as a Kerry spokesman, at least he won't face reporters, and risk them asking about it when he's supposed to be out there, touting Kerry.
