Anyone knows who has used the National Archives that you only get material out of there by stealing it. By purposefully stealing it! This is no mistake, and those who use the archives understand that to take things away incurrs a criminal offense. Berger now confirms what his critics knew all along; he is a sneaking, lying, miserable coward.

I have read no where that attributes this story to the Bush administration. Might be an attempt to force action and response from the Bush administration to the status of the investigation.

Typically the Clinton response was "no comment", or blame a Republican, but Berger admits he took documents. So apparently he was alerted in advance that the story was going to be leaked.

I believe Gergan and Lanny Davis both mentioned the Bush administration as the reason for the timing. At least I think other posters mentioned them on this and other threads. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. It's too much in their character. My other big question is why was Bruce Lindsay called? What connection to the archives does he have?
