NEW YORK - The first lady of the democratic party is funding the efforts of those protestors who do indeed plan to create havoc and thwart our anti-terrorism efforts at the GOP convention.
Sources are today reporting that the woman who is worth an estimated 3.2 billion dollars - Teresa Heinz Kerry - has given millions of dollars to the TIDES FOUNDATION. This group has long (28 years) funded many of the main groups planning on organizing the protests.
According to these same reports Heinz-Kerry has also helped fund the Ruckus Society which made its name in the World Trade disruptions in Seattle in 1999. This group has been "training protestors" for NYC.
Between 1995-2001, Heinz-Kerry gave over 4 million dollars in grants to the Tides Foundation.

I hope this gets traction,,this could really hurt Kerry.
Doesn't surprise me at all. I've heard of protest pros. They get paid more for sleeping at the protest, getting arrested, etc.
How many bottles of ketchup does it cost to buy a protester?
Answer: None, 'cause it's tax-deductible!
Or something along those lines. Liberals are masters at insinuation...and they absolutely HATE it when their own tactics are used against them. :)
Call me a pessimist but I'll bet this post is about the only place you'll see it.
I'm sure this will be the lead-off story on all of the cable and network news channels tonight, and will be headlines in all of th emajor newspapers tomorrow morning...

Maine is a kerry stronghold, we will continue to print what the portland press hearld and tabliod eight (the abc station) refuse to.
Rent-a-mob?
This is a dead story. Tides disclosed that her donations were all earmarked for polution initiatives in PA. Doesn't change the fact that she deals with these scumbags, but she didn't give money to their anti-american charities.
The democrats really fear her, so I'm told, because they don't know what she's going to say when she opens her mouth. She's very strange and I hope this news gets circulated and scares the panties off the dems.
news you could use *ping*
The Snopes folks researched the hell out of this.... they got a quote from Heinz Endowments President Maxwell King. He would have absolutely no reason to lead us astray.
Tides gives money to wack groups, but not Heinz's money. Without Heinz'z money available to Tides, is it possible these wack groups would get less money? I think so.
The NY Post's reply to King:
"We noted that the Heinz donations to Tides 'were earmarked specifically for environmental charities'--but added that 'money is fungible.' That is, dedicated grants from Heinz Endowment money have the effect of relieving the Tides Foundation of the need to raise money for other expenses and commitments. That's the standard meaning of
the widely used assertion that 'money is fungible'...Supporting the Tides Foundation doesn't automatically mean endorsing every group it supports. But the fact that the Heinz Endowments has no qualms about what Tides does with its money speaks for itself. Loudly."
Very loudly indeed, when a Tides front group, Peaceful Tomorrows, creates a media assault on the political opponent of Teresa Heinz Kerry's husband.
So the laugher is: she's funding these groups with your money.
For example: Say Tides funds two charities. One a real charity, the other a leftist, anti-american group. You recognize the name of the real charity and give your hard earned charity dollars to Tides for this good cause. But like most folks you don't specify that Tides can only use your money for this charity. After all, charity is charity.
Heinz could give money directly to the real charity but she really wants to fund the other group. She gives a load of money to Tides and specifies it can only be used for the real charity (and Tides overhead costs, fund raising, etc. of course), thus providing cover for herself. Tides can now use all of YOUR money to give to the slimeballs.
I dunno,,those New Yorkers may not like this.
Yes, I'll be there an if anything happens to me, even mental distress, I'll know whom to sue.
These "links" are the reason the Kerry Campaign isn't releasing all of Tay Raise Ahhh's tax returns.
They don't want the media making the connection between this goofy broads donations and the people that will be using that money to get to Boston to raise hell. Nor do they want the media to make the connection with whats going to occur in New York City when the GOP comes to town.
