I wish the headline would be more accurate, not all GAYS, many are living quiet lives, they do not protest, they have no agenda, and they want to be left alone.

My nephew is gay and he never even talks about being gay. He tries to keep it as much a secret as he can, he doesn't want to be beaten up and made fun of. He lives in quiet obscurity as do his friends. It is the gay activist group who pushes this stuff, not all gays.

I know several gay couples and they live quietly, and they don't go to protests or marches. They quite simply want to be left alone. I know one gay couple who has been together 35-40 years. Longer than most hetero marriages.

All Homosexuals look sad to me not gay.

If by "politcal rallies" you mean events held, say, in an auditorium or stadium, yes. But if they are held downtown on the public street, that is a different situation. And I have yet to find out exactly the venue of this event. If the regular public is wandering in and out, on the public streets and sidewalks, I don't see how protestors can be legitimately kept out. If it's inside a building, then I could understand.

I've been to street festivals in Philly (not this one). They typically have barricades and gates.

But above and beyond that, the organizers have the right to ask that there be no protesters within the event itself - and the Philly police for years have been keeping protestors away from commingling with an event.

If the gays were demanding that there be no protests anywhere near the event, there would be a case - but that's not what is at stake here. And I don't buy the public funds argument - because that argument has been abused against the Boy Scouts, just because they wish to exercise their Constitutional rights. The answer to having a wrong committed against your side is not to demand that it consistently be committed against the other side - because that just institutionalizes the wrong. The solution is to leave this group alone and demand that the Boy Scouts be allowed access to public facilities again.

It would be interesting to see what the exact law is in this connection, and how protestors at other events in similar situations have been accomodated.

It is against the law *RIGHT NOW* in Canada to publicly speak out
against homosexuality - it is a *HATE CRIME*.

What ? I don't recall that before. Sheesh !

I keep hearing my local AM radio station mentioning THIS GUY'S name.
I think I would have changed it, were it me.

If he has a child, a boy, he should name him Don't Ben. :^O

No, The Boston police let them have an informal march at the end of the official parade, angering a large amount of people. Needless to say there was "hurtful" statements directed their way.

I can't find it right now, but a while ago there was a post about members of Repent America getting arrested for protesting outside a homosexual event held in a park. They weren't trying to enter the park. I think that's what they mean when they say they want to attend the events, not participate in them.

However noble the sentiment is, the law of the land is that you must accept imposition. This is the rules THEY set up. It is just holding THEM to THEIR rules. (no different than the 5th columnists using the bill of rights to undo the bill of rights)

Forcing the issue to the contrary may actually do some good by shedding light on the reasonableness of the Boy Scouts position.

you leave 98.3% of the population alone and you can do whatever you want to yourselves behind closed doors.

It is amazing that we get this anecdotal stories of the quiet homosexual couple with these threads.

The true fact is that homosexuality is a recreational sex behavior.

It serves no funtion other than sex for entertainment.

You could cange sad to mentally ill to fetishist to sadomasochist to swinger to any sexual illness.

In fact many "swingers" have outlasted monogamous couples.

Many with "open" marriages have outlasted "closed" marriages. (bill and hitlary come to mind)

These bogus quiet homosexuals would still want kerry's offer of immigration rights to bring homosexual fiances, social secuirty spousal benefits and federal acceptance of homosexuality as legitimate.

This is the rules THEY set up. It is just holding THEM to THEIR rules.

The best way to deal with a wrong is not to demand that the wrong also be applied to the other side. The best way is to note when they want freedom of association, and then simply re-affirm your right to such as well.

It is not about a right or wrong.

The left is dependent on an amoral fight against a morally bound enemy.

Ie we have freedom to curse you but you do not have equal freedom against them.

Homosexuals have all rights to display their private recreational sex at st. patricks, columbus, veterans day parades.

It is a valid counter attack to use their own arguments against them to expose them as hypocrits. It is not conservatives being wrong, it is conservatives exposing the fraud of the left.

Protesting protesters. This is all very funny after what gays have done in the churches of my faith.
Most cities now charge groups for police services. That is the case here in Boston for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

It's pretty amazing - so many homosexuals that people know are just conservative, monogamous, auntie and uncle types who never attend "Gay Pride" parades, don't vacation to Asia, vote Rebublican, never visit bath houses, and abhor the "gay" agenda.

Kind of like the mellow Muslims who don't agree with Islamic jihad. Except there are Muslims who speak out against it, that's the main difference.

I think I'll start calling the Homosexual Agenda Homosexual Jihad.

I didn't read anything about happy/gay people - I only read about perverted HOMOSEXUALS.

Get your language back from the perversions and re-definitions of the leftist radicals.

Abolutely on the money. They will not steal "marriage" the way they stole "gay". My grandfather was gay, and I DON'T mean homosexual! What will it mean when my grandkids say I was married?!
