screw that, do what is right..that is if you/"we as a society" still know the differance between "right v. wrong".

Sorry, but I will hire and give pure Veteran Preferance over "racial quota" crap. I'll hire a close friend or family member over a bright young black man with ambition and a dream. Not because I "don't like blacks"...but out of loyalty to them or it could be for their current and pressing need/s.

If we disagreed with you, we wodn't have Danny as one of our two foremost editors.

Probem is, and you hit the nail right on the head, if we still know what is right and wrong, I'm not so sure we do.

We wouldn't need political correctness if lefties weren't so rude. The PC movement was actually started by the right, wasn't it?

Political correctness, calling negros blacks because that is what they like, changing to calling them collectively african-americans, because that is what they want now. Changing the Stanford Indians to the Stanford Cardinals... This was by the right?

Oh, you were being sarcastic, OK

No. The term "politically correct" was first used by Stalinists in the Soviet Union.

These proponents of "political correction" would deprive me of my right to think and feel as I chose.

Political Correctness is a method developed and used by the Liberals in an attempt to stifle free speech and create censorship of words and ideas they oppose.

Summary: Political Correctness (PC) is the Liberals' way to censor free speech.

I think the cycle is very interesting:

Colored (c 1920s etc) to Negro (c 1950s etc) to Afro-American (c 1970s) to African-American (c 1980s) to Black (c 1990s) to ........ [drum roll]......People of Color (c 2000s).

This is at the heart of Whoopie Goldberg's complaint RE: the loss of her endorsement fees for Slim Fast. "I should not be held responsible for what I say, its my right to say it, protected free speech as it were".

The PC movement is (and always has been) a tool to undermine this country. Marilyn Vos Savant (Parade Magazine) called it the greatest threat to this country.

Thank you for posting this link. I have always felt that the whole PC movement is an insidious attempt to tear down our society, but that feeling was based purely on a combination of instinct, and logic. It is absolutely frightening to see where its origins are, and that there are people (the liberals, another group that spurs an instinctive sense of "that's just wrong") who are using the whole PC thing as a weapon against the best country this world has ever seen.

The loose ends are starting to form a knot - the liberals, the radical Muslims, the ignorant citizens (and governments, in some cases) of European countries, all working in concert to tear down all that makes the United States of America the great nation that she is.

I'm sick to my stomach.

The local Catholic college had a sign on their campus this past Christmas wishing everyone a "happy holiday."

We need a new law to establish the separation of atheism and state.

Whenever I hear the term "People of Color", I think of that cartoon "Doug" that was on Nickelodeon, the children's channel. Dougs friends were all colors - some were pink, some were purple, some were even green. :))
