With the success of "The Passion of the Christ" still reverberating throughout Hollywood while viewers increasingly tune into digital cable as an alternative, it's not surprising that TBN gains favor among new viewers as the family-friendly network.

This is a strange point of view in my opinion. I don't think Jesus would want to be represented by con artists or liars.
Well, I had some personal experience with them and TBN when I was in college. All I can say is BLECH!

Once in a while such things are even on TBN.
That Scripture is only true if it is truly Christ that's being preached.
The motives of heretics are immaterial. Heretics preach a false Christ.
TBN is wall-to-wall with religious kooks.
Don't think for a minute that the televangelists are going anywhere anytime soon because while TBN may include "better programming" (a highly subjective term), it will only be as a front for the televangelists to make more pleas for money in their "grab-a-thons."
And not only did you pay for your new furniture, you probably paid for theirs as well (as did too many others).
They have this chapel at their facility in Fontana that looks like the Cystine chapel on acid. In the chapel is a chest where they stuff all the prayer requests that are sent to them that don't contain money. The only ones they read and have on the set with them are the ones that come with a nice check. It makes me ill.
Tilton had to go to BET because he, like John Kerry speaking at the NAACP, can't get the honkies and crackers to listen to them.
Or burlesque for that matter.
The only kooks are the people who send them money.

I do not contribute. It would be kind of cool if we could start a conservative broadcasting network like that, heh!
Its a free market. We need to buy some stations and start a conservative broadcasting channel..
For several years TBN used to be televangelists, but they have been adding more programming. Best time to watch them is on the weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings.
Paul's point was that God's Word is going to be preached in spite of people and their individual motives.
Paul did not, however, say that we should reward those people who preach Christ out of selfishness, hate or greed by supporting their so-called "ministries."
The problem with the Crouches is they don't preach the Gospel. Anyone who preaces faith plus works to get into heaven is a fake.
I'll give it a peek once in a while.
Looks like (T)he (B)east (N)etwork is branching out.
Apparently you can fool some of the people all of the time.
