Stewart said she hadn't given much thought to what her life behind bars would be like when asked how she would handle prison food, fellow inmates and strip searches. "I could do it," she said. "I'm a really good camper. I can sleep on the ground.
There are many, many good people who have gone to prison
look at Nelson Mandela."

I'm a Diet Dr. Pepper guy, and ice tea with a quarter of Lemon.
Got a years supply of Lemon in the Frig and the Son's tree continues to produce more.
To: GVgirl
I really don't care for Diet Pepsi or Regular either.

Martha Stewart: "I didn't cheat anybody"
Richard Nixon: "I am not a crook"

Danbury is full up (actually,it's MORE than full up,it's over loaded!),as is the other clubFED,which I think is in Virginia,so Martha, when she serves her paltry 5 months, will have to do so in a regular,non-country club FEDERAL jail.
To: microgood
Martha also LIED to the SEC and two Congressional committees.
Now,as a member of the board,of the NYSE,lying to the SEC should have gotten her a civil case as well and a much worse fine and jail time. But she got off, thus far, with a slap on the wrist.Others,in the same situation,or less, have gotten far worse treatment!

Martha Stewart is a Hillary cloned/separated at birth kind of person, and if you don't include Hillary in your admiration club, the you shouldn't include Martha either.
Martha got where she did,by backstabbing, lying, cheating, and being a fraud.Ask Julia Childs what she thinks about Martha stealing her recipes and claiming that they were her own.
And that's the least of who Martha climbed on,used, abused, and stabbed,to get where she did.
To: microgood
She fiddled with her own phone records, then after talking with her then szon-in-law the lawyer, harshly ordered her assistant to put it back, the way it was. That's NOT doing something and then forgetting about it!
To: Bonaparte
Sorry,Danbury's full up. LOL

I agree you are right about that.
To: microgood
And the assistant fixed her grammar,so it was NOT the same, which is another nail in Martha's coffin, because shes LIED about this too.

It looks like Drudge liked my way of titling that article, too! Damn glad I caught that one before he did - it's a first for me.
To: iconoclast
Her prosecution and conviction are an outrage and a government crime of totalitarian proportions. But because the victim is "unlikable" and votes Dimocrat, it is perfectly OK with you folks. You're absolutely right. Don't let the torch and pitchfork crowd bother you. I wonder how they would do under questioning by the FBI goon squad. Perhaps they tore the tags off their mattresses, took pay under the table, or took an extra charitable deduction. All they have to do is lie about it and they are going to prison.
To: iconoclast
Never mind that the real crime is the FDA's medieval approval process for life saving drugs like Imclone's Erbitux. I wonder how many people suffered and died because of the government's willful ignorance. It doesn't matter as long as they are going to hang everybody's favorite witch. Applause, applause.

Mandela was a terrorist, plain truth.

Mandela was powerless when he got out of jail. Everyone in the world knew he was a communist and no country or business would invest in South Africa.

In addition to the prison term, Stewart was ordered to serve five months of home confinement and fined $30,000 for her role in a stock deal gone bad. The sentence has been stayed pending appeal.
She was fined for something she was never charged with? Scary.
