Iraqi PM executed six insurgents: witnesses Reporter: Maxine McKew

MAXINE MCKEW: Let's go straight to the allegations that Iyad Allawi executed as many as six suspected insurgents at a Baghdad police station at the end of June.

The explosive claims in tomorrow's Sydney Morning Herald and Age newspapers allege that the prisoners were handcuffed and blindfolded, lined up against a courtyard wall and shot by the Iraqi Prime Minister.

Dr Allawi is alleged to have told those around him that he wanted to send a clear message to the police on how to deal with insurgents.

Two people allege they witnessed the killings and there are also claims the Iraqi Interior Minister was present as well as four American security men in civilian dress.

The United States may have made the correct choice in getting an interim government in place. Why? Because these new Iraqi leaders seem to understand quite well that Al Queda and its allies are out the kill every last one of them, and from this report, these new leaders know this is a fight to the death for them.

I do not mourn the deaths of these terrorists at all.

If the leaders of the interim government are not willing to kill these terrorists then they shall surely be killed.

Traditionally, insurgents would be executed on the spot. Irregulars, terrorists in other words, don't get the normal protections. They are at war with the New Iraq and the New Iraq just plugged them. Ths only faux pas here is that he should have interrogated them beforehand.

They [the witnesses] were guaranteed anonymity, they were told that no identifying material would be published on them and they told what they saw.

Well, I am sure that the Democrats are greatful that he didn't strip them naked and put women's panties on their heads or do other forms of "torture." He at least treated them with dignity.

I hope that the Dem's and all the world bleeding heart liberals are now much happier that the US has turned over more control to the locals, because the US has such a vile record in regards to human rights.

P.S. Wait till the Saudis start beheading terrorist on prime time TV and for the internet. Their amnesty program is about over and I feel they are serious about taking vengence on those Saudi hot heads who did some shootings in Saudi Arabia in a way that endangered the flow of kickbacks into the royal coffers.

Ok. So? Is there something more to the story?

I say, "get em".

sKerry will say, "These poor freedom fighters were turned over to Bush's illegal regieme and killed without due process; when I was in Viet Nam, I too killed a freedom fighter without due process, along with every other soldier, sailor, flyer and marine from 1960 to 1972, we all killed freedom fighters blah blahblub".

"Theraaayza says I can't kill Freedom Fighters anymore."

Urban legend, this was from July 1st from Zeyad on healing iraq site

http://healingiraq.blogspot.com/archives/2004_07_01_healingiraq_archive.html#108863288893625231

"Other than this incident I haven't heard of any other attempts to loot government property. In fact the performance of the IP until now is encouraging, a number of gangs were surrounded and arrested at Al-Battawiyeen by an Iraqi SWAT force, and people claim that the police used satellite images to locate the gangs, such rumours do have a benefit though. Another widespread and preposterous rumour is that Ayad Allawi has been showing up at IP stations and executing criminals himself, and I have heard this one from a very large number of people.

This a technique that the "insurgents" can understand.

Please recall that it was the Police Chief of Saigon summarily executing a terrorist with a pistol shot to the head that was used by every leftist organization in the USA to bring discredit on the Saigon Government. The international left is looking for any opening to return the fascist to power in Iraq.

Keep in mind that said "terrorist" (VC) had a few minutes before been caught murdering someone else.

Good.

Six down, about 20,000 to go. May the rivers run red with the blood of Salafi imams and Baathist dead enders.

Sounds like my kind of guy if true. With the Iraqi's doing their own executions, the islamists, american libs and world community can't scream "racial profiling", can they? The libs are going to wet their panties if this is true.

GO ALLAWI!!

If this is true, good for Allawi, but I doubt he did it personally. These are terrorists caught in the act of trying to seize their govt. from the officers who are trying to bring about peace. This is a war over there. Espionage agents/terrorists have always been interrogated and shot forthwith if they are caught in the act.

Would the media and Fr. and Ger--oh, yes, also those strongly moral members of the UN--have them brought before US courts with all the legal loopholes available to them. Put them in jail, drag out a trial for five years.

If this is true, it may send a message-- to those people who only know and understand this kind of fighting-kill or be killed.
