12 people were unconscious and they think it might be food related? I don't think so. they're faking it? just another guess...."NO MORE OF THOSE #%&@#*#@$* PEANUTS!!"

Food's not gonna provoke this reaction in one hour. Unless it's deliberate. (call me paranoid)

But airline officials told 11 News that one person was passed out on the plane and others may have been sick. Airline officials believe the illness may be food-related Huh?

Now, now, Indie. Don't start up with those rational thoughts again :-)

Maybe they think it was something they ate at the airport prior to departure?

Well fear could increase the numbers but it had to start somewhere. Sad thing is that there is no telling how long they were unconscious.

"Fire officials say ten people have been
overcome by fumes aboard a plane that sat on the runway Thursday night at BWI."
FUMES.
Looks like there is a lot of confusion about the actual direct cause.

Local news saying One passenger vomited and this set off a chain reaction with as many as five people sick.
The person who vomited has refused treatment, one has been taken to hospital.
I swear this is what the trailer says. It also says the plane landed immediately. Not sure where the plane was when the passenger vomited.

Thanks. I guess I was reading too quickly. You are right, it may be a while before we get the "real" story. Or, most likely, we will never get the "real" story.

Different source says:
Fire officials say ten people have been overcome by fumes aboard a plane that sat on the runway Thursday night at BWI. Officials told a local television station that four people were transported from the scene in critical condition, and six others were in serious condition.
To: FairOpinion
Yes, there are about three separate stories on this at the moment. Only common thing appears to be it involves about a dozen or so people, and some one lost consciousness at some point.

"that four people were transported from the scene in critical condition, and six others were in serious condition. " You ( not just you, but others who are wisecracking with "funny" comments) wouldn't think it's funny if you or your loved ones were some of those people.

Something stinks here. There's nothing more filling than a bag of peanuts on Southwest's flights that I know of. I think the "food poisoning" angle is bogus.
