BAGHDAD Prime Minister Iyad Allawi said Thursday that he was opposed to negotiating with terrorists and that he had urged the Philippine government to reconsider its decision to pull out peacekeeping troops in response to a demand by insurgents threatening to kill a Philippine truck driver being held hostage.
The hostage, Angelo dela Cruz, appeared Thursday on Al Jazeera television, saying he was coming home soon and thanking his government for agreeing to withdraw peacekeepers from Iraq.

Its to late to reconsider now. They already flinched.
If they had just stayed and this guy had been beheaded that would have been the breaks, but to say they were leaving, and this guy announcing he would soon be home and then change their minds ,well no government could withstand that. The whole of the Philipines would turn against the government.
No they already made their beds .
Iyad Allawi to the the Philippines: "You wussies! Thanks a lot for putting the rest of us in more danger. We deal with this every day and have been for the past 30 years! You don't see us cutting and running. Was thirty days too much to ask?"

And the Phillipine government for one minute thinks this will help their cause with terrorism they have at home? NOT !!! AQ has NO conscience.
It's long past time to shut off the terrorists' publicity pipeline!
Surely the receivers in HARMs can be re-tuned to the Aljzeera transmitter frequencies...
