Tonight is the big night for the Party For the President. I'm not going to one but I thought we could have our own right here on FR. Bring the Chips and dip and get comfortable. I will be here all evening and hope you all drop by.
We saw the attempts by the democrats to manipulate the electorial process last time, in November we need to give President Bush a MANDATE to lead.
Go Bush/Cheney!
pass the greens and sweet corn please
OK, the grill is heating up and ready for whatever needs cooking. Ice cold sodas are here too. Can find some MGD for those who would like it.
I am looking forward to keeping up with this thread.
Photos of our President are wonderful! We are so fortunate to be able to vote for him again.
Thanks again for this thread. Freepers are the best.
email from the campaign:
Dear ...,
In a few days, I will join tens of thousands of the President's supporters in a live conference call.
You can join this call by hosting a Party for the President on Thursday, July 15th.
A Party for the President is a simple, free volunteer event that brings together local friends and neighbors who support the President. At these parties we'll provide you with exclusive campaign materials and most importantly, postcards that your party attendees can fill out and mail to undecided voters in your area.
One of the most important things you can do in this campaign is talk to your friends and neighbors about the President's accomplishments and his leadership. Hosting a Party for the President makes neighbor-to-neighbor, person-to-person campaigning easy.
To sign up to host your party or find a party near you, visit GeorgeWBush.com/Party.
I hope you'll join me in this nationwide event as we spread the President's optimistic message, recruit volunteers, and energize grassroots supporters.
I look forward to speaking with you on July 15th.
Sincerely,
(signed)
Laura Bush
Thought you might enjoy this.
One of my favorite memories is from the first year of President Bush's administration. He went to Europe to meet with European leaders. He had a private meeting with Vladimir Putin, followed by a joint press conference.
The press was, of course, primed with their "Bush is stupid" playbook. The President and President Putin took the platform, whereupon Putin said that he had found the President quite informed and intelligent, and then proceeded to read a letter from Madeline Albright which he considered disrespectful to Russia. The press sat there with their mouths open, stunned that someone would think the President was not a dummy.
It was quite satisfying, and a prelude to how the President would operate over the next few years.
I'm working again. I don't know how on a 36 hr work week , that I'm always behing a desk when something fun is going on.
Ohhhhhh...thaaaaaaank you!!!!!! You have no idea how much I enjoy a cold Mountain Dew on a hot 95 degree day like today!!!!!
I will join the party!
Go President Bush!!
I always wondered what is with the Russians and the black turtlenecks??!!
(Being 1/4 Ruskie myself....I am still baffled....;)
You are so very, very welcome! :o)
Go Dubya Go!
That's my prez!
Why does Putin look like he belongs in a Matrix movie?
Have a great party!
Hey, I'm here. Chips and salsa anyone?
