John Edwards released a statement yesterday implying he did not know about his brother's legal troubles.
did not know how serious they were until The News disclosed them.
"He shouldn't have done what he did, and he knows that and is dealing with it."
So, he didn't know about them until someone told him, but he did know that his brother knows what he did was wrong and is dealing with it. Right, John, I guess you got him on the phone right after The News gave you the bad news, huh?

Now, if Edwards gets elected and his brother starts drumming up presidential pardons for large bribes-er campaign contributions, then I'll have something to say.

So, Blake Edwards, serial drunk driver and younger sibbling of John Edwards, former personal claims lawyer, part time US Senator from NC, former full time candidate for President, and now full time candidate for vice President to John Kerry, his victorious opponent in the battle to be the Democrat's candidate for President-lives just outside Raleigh, NC, in a Palace bought for him by brother John Edwards and paid for no doubt, with damages collected by John, from some no Edward's kin drunk driver.
John Edwards tells us he had no idea his brother was a serial, inter state drunk driver. Is John confessing to suffering from attention deficit disorder? Or was it the " To hell with the little people, family and all, outside the gates of the gated communites , that are home and haven to the John's Kerry and Edwards of this country?
John Edward's tells us that he was completely unaware of his own brother's alcohol problems. Okay, he's pleading deaf, dumb, blind, uncaring and stupid-we accept his plea and offer our sympathy-you're forgiven John.
But we reserve our choice for Vice President for someone more qualified than you and the idiot who chose you as his second in command.
"He's not heavy sir,..... he's my brother."
On another note, his famous lawyer brother is suing the states for making straight roads where his brother insists on curves.

They drink and drive knowing they can kill someone but they don't care.

Interesting pattern here:
Edwards enables family members to drive poorly.
(1) He gives to his newly-licensed teenage son (LUCIUS WADE EDWARDS) a notorious rollover vehicle--a jeep--and lets him drive it to the beach (3 hours) by himself.
(2) He buys a house for his alcoholic brother which makes it so easy for his brother that any thought of rehab is quickly dismissed.
John Atticus is the product of fertility drugs; artificial insemination with donor sperm/egg would be more likely.
Do I sense a possible line of Wesley Beer in the
offing?
