Just got back from John Fogerty concert in Omaha.
Great show! He pretty much stuck to his music without too much political comment...Here is what he said:
He mentioned that he "recorded an album under an alias...kind of like the President." What the heck does that mean?
When he introduced his new song "Deja Vu All Over Again", he was quick to point out that "this is not about politics, it was about families and people who have died." Pretty tame...
The funniest moment of the night came right after he commented about his new song...someone standing right up by the stage yelled, "DICK CHENEY S***S!" and some people in the audience yelled back, "YOU S***, TOO! SIT DOWN!!"
Great show, and, for the most part, he did "SHUT UP AND SING!"
It sounds like a lame insinuation that Bush didn't really win the 2000 election, and his status as President is just an alias.
Glad you enjoyed the concert, but if that's what he meant, he sucks.
Didn't Fogerty do a benefit for Lurch--er, Kerry, recently?
He was at the Whoopi bash.

Fogerty is just a musician. He should stick to music and keep out of politics, a subject that he knows less about than most on GR.
I'm beginning to think that Kerry has this "thing" about looking like he's playing some musician's guitar. There's another picture of Kerry playing Kenny Rankin's guitar (Honey). Now, here's another one with him playing Fogarty's guitar. What, you'd think he could afford to buy his own. Nah, I know what's happening. He wants so DESPERATELY to show how cool he is (but the guitars won't help. Somebody should tell him, assuming he'd listen).
"Look, John! No hands!"
