I did a search and didn't see anyone else post it. So here it is. Just received this from Slim-Fast:
Dear Hildy Linn ,
Thank you for contacting us recently about our use of Whoopi Goldberg, specifically regarding her remarks made at the recent fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall. The manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express her personal beliefs at this event do not reflect the views and values of Slim·Fast Foods Company.
Slim·Fast selected Whoopi Goldberg as its spokesperson because of her commitment to losing weight, which we applaud.
We are disappointed by the manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express herself and sincerely regret that her recent remarks offended you. Advertisements featuring Ms. Goldberg will no longer be on air.
We appreciate you sharing your views with us and we hope you will continue to use Slim·Fast as your partner in healthy weight management.
Sincerely,
Shelby Mahan

You couldn't find it in the third spot down on the Breaking News?
Think I'll try Slim-Fast. Nothing to lose, but the weight now. ;)
whooo hoooo!!!!!!!!!!! This is #2. If we can keep picking them off one by one maybe they will shut up.
Does anyone doubt the power of the internet, FreeRepublic, or the vast right wing conspiracy?
Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.
Hey guys, the company deserves a thank-you follow up. Forget the owner for a minute. Remember the carrot and stick, punishment and reward, ying and yang, and all that. Let's be scientific in our boycotting. Appreciative follow-up is as important as original complaint. Only takes a second.
Who's got that email link to Slimfast? Please post it if you will. Thanks.
Leni
You're mistaken. It is not her opinion which made her lose her job. It's the opinion of those who pay her salary who matter.
She screwed up, pure and simple. She better learn or she will be broke.
A dark cloud of a McCarhtyist Orwellian nightmare hovers over the country!
I don't know why companies don't learn the lesson of the dangers of using celeb spokesmen, especially big-mouth obnoxious ones.
Free speech is a wonderful thing. Nobody is going to put tape over Ms. Goldberg's mouth. She is free to say and do as she pleases. That's what is so wonderful about our great country.
As is the freedom to choose what products we purchase with our hard earned dollars.
BTW, I got my e-mail from Slimfast as well!
However, this should not be the end of it. Kerry and Edwards need to be held accountable for their statements after the sleaze-fest!
Keep in mind that the big guy at slim fast is a RAT big $$ donor. Less money in their pockets, means less money in RATS pockets.
Whoopie certainly did speak for him!
But, there is a difference. Goldberg crossed the line of decency and as far as I know, the CEO of Slim Fast hasn't. They did the smart thing and are dumping her.
No longer a mizzmouse in da house ;-)
How long until Whoopi cries McCarthyism? Tick tock....
More than that!
We got Danny Glover booted from MCI, Jeanine Garafolo lost her new sit-com, the Dixie Chicks are in the toilet and CBS ousted the smearumentary Reagan Movie from it's network...
Lastly, we don't know how many companies may have been prepared to offer loud lefties like Sheen, Sarandon, Asner, etc, spots on commercials or as spokesmen but never did so because of the risk of them embarrassing the company politically :-)
