I agree with the author on just about everything except the number of states Bush will carry...I think it'll be more than 40.

Most important of all, George W. Bush just isnt Adolf Hitler, Dick Cheney is not the spawn of Satan, our civil liberties are still very much intact, and America is not being irretrievably destroyed or thrown into a new Great Depression. ----worth repeating, often!

Thank you for the optimism! I tend to agree with you but I think the EV's for W will be right around 290-310 or so. But a win nonetheless.

(In the end, Democrats are really just a bunch of jackasses.)
To: Valin
The most important reason the Democrats are in big trouble is the fact that their most important weapon, the main stream media, has been duly exposed and therefore neutered by a tremendous loss of credibility.
Most people attribute this fact to the rise in popularity of the internet, Fox News, and talk radio as reasons for this credibility gap, but the information markets are DEMAND DRIVEN, in other words the rise of alternative sources were CREATED by the frustration information seekers developed over time with the mainstreamers.
In my view, EVENTS are responsible for exposing the leftist agenda, an agenda which has been purveyed and endorsed by the dominant media for decades. Not one prediction, from welfare reform to Afghanistan, to Iraq, and tax cuts has been born out by results. The left has been dead wrong, in very public fashion, and even the most apathetic observers have been forced to take notice, people don't mind being spun, but they don't like being deliberately lied to, and they are responding by killing the messenger.

If you watch a lot of CNN and read the New York Times, you might get the impression that many people actually heed the hard Left. Who will be stumbling around muttering "I don't know anyone who voted for Bush, how did he win?"
Ans: the people who take the hard left, CNN and the New York Times seriously. To wit, other mainstream media employees and about 20 percent of the population. Mostly these are people who have "moved beyond being Americans." Screw them.

Sorry, four years of Bush letting Vicente Fox treat him like a red-headed step child and all the pandering to La Raza, LULAC and the rest those nation busting organizations has left a lot of folks totally disgusted and will cost Bush votes.

So refreshing to read a positive note after watching the media on T.V. I hope and pray and suspect that this all will happen. When quiet Americans get into that booth to vote they will be thinking , who is going to protect me and my family in a crises.....BUSH, CHEYEY!!!

Minor point, but author states "Missouri Sec. of State Matt Blunt failed in his attempt to put the marriage initiative on the November ballot; voters will instead take it up in the August primary." True. But Blunt did infact try very hard to put it on the Nov. ballot. Gov. "Holdup" fought it, knowing full-well it would hurt Dems in this state. He ran to the Democrat friendly courts and judge ordered it on August ballot.
This issue may still hurt Dims in the fall, if voters remember. Most won't...

In Oregon, which Bush narrowly lost in 2000, this alone could be decisive.
I hope this is right about Oregon.
Statistics say that only 1/4 of Christians vote.
I do believe that if we could get another 1/4 of Christians educated and motivated to vote we would win every state.

One concern I have is that Kerry is going to do very well in the Northeast and those polls close earlier than the rest of the country...the undecides (or that group that is not so thrilled with Bush, but won't vote for Kerry) if the early reports show Kerry with strong support in the northeast, as CT, RI, MA, ME, VT, NH, NY, NJ, and MD close, the media will immediately calling Kerry the winner and I believe it will effect voter-turnout in the rest of the country.

I too predict a big win, but it is not that complicated
1) No matter how you say it, Kerry is a uppity liberal from New England. That ain't going to fly with most of America.
2) 9/11 changed the dynamics. Soccer moms who voted for Clinton aren't going to trust thier kids future to the the Dim's.
3) It's the economy stupid
4) Talk radio, the internet, and Fox News. The liberal media no longer has a monopoly and it is being exposed for what it is. The more they shill for the Democrats the more people move to the right.
November is going to be good folks; Bush re-elected in landslide, Senate and House gain Republican seats, and my favorite...little Tommie Daschle out on the street......Go Thune!
To: Valin
I agree with the author. I believe Bush will win handedly as well. Lets not forget, Bush has alot of bullets left to use against Kerry, one of which the author mentions about support for Iraq. There are many more left to go.

Senators do not have a very good recent record at winning the Presidency. The last one was the real JFK and it was so close voter fraud may have been a factor. Also the only Democrats that have won the White House in recent history were Governors from southern states. Also Bush has a Gallup approval of 53%. And I mean plain ol Gallup, not CNN/Gallup. This is important because you can compare it historically to re-elected Presidents. Both Reagan and Clinton had these numbers at the same point in time before the election. There will be bounces to come for both. Dukakis was up on Bush for instance. But the approval number is very telling. Ford had above 50% approval and lost, but Ford was never elected and it was very close, and watergate was still very fresh. Ill also add that Edwards home state is SOLID Bush country right now with double digit lead. I think Bush is poised for a solid win. But campaign like election day was tommorrow! Every day counts. Lets go for landslide! Take nothing for granted.
Hail to the King Baby.

President Bush found the right line when a reporter asked him last week the difference between Edwards and Vice President Dick Cheney. His reply: Dick Cheney can be President...Next? WOW .... nice response Dubya :))
Reason #4 : AWB expires and people on the right breathe a sigh of relief and pull the Bush lever.

Looking at recent polls, as well as political futures trading sites has gotten to be a bit depressing lately.
Let's hope the author is right.
