INSULTING TO AMERICA: DEMS' ELECTION JOKE
New York Post ^ | 7/14/04

July 14, 2004 -- Does anyone really think it would be useful to have the United Nations oversee the American elections this year ("An Insult to America," Editorial, July 12)?

[snip]

Manhattan

The action of 13 House Democrats — requesting international observers from the corrupt and discredited United Nations to oversee our presidential election — is mind-boggling.

Furthermore, Democrats refuse to acknowledge that their attempts to discredit the results of the last election have failed.

No matter how the liberal media tried to recount every last vote to show that Gore really did win the election in 2000, they failed. That's because no matter how they counted, or how many times they counted, George Bush won fair and square.

I think the Democratic Party has gone insane.

Their fevered desire to regain power has caused them to show no regard for this country and no respect for its president.

I can't believe Democrats are asking the United Nations to supervise one of the world's few free and democratic elections.

It becomes harder everyday to be proud to be a registered Democrat when my party shows this level of irresponsibility.

An organization that has Sudan, Libya and other despotic countries on its human-rights committee is hardly the place Americans should be looking for guidance on any matter, let alone the matter of free elections.

The rat party urinates on America each and every day. It is time to eliminate this evil, traitorous entity into political oblivion.

Gore's negativity was selfish to the max. In the place where I work, half the leftists now think there's no point in voting any more. They believe 'the fix is in'. I tried to convince them that it was not 'fixed'. But it's too complicated an issue for them to keep up with. They just believe it on instinct, because Jeb is governor there. Conservatives are not so disheartened. Gore helped bring about the weakening of his party, which was made up of 'fair-weathered friends' to begin with.

So, the very people calling for UN oversight of the election don't have much of an actual voter following to begin with.

To top it off, the UN has disgraced itself completely. What a group to run to for help.

Yeh, and at the same time there are stories such as this:

Author: Al-Qaida Has Nuclear Weapons, Likely Inside U.S.

The Dems. better get serious, and Rockefeller ought to be hung.

Conservatives should rejoice that left-wingers are not voting. But then again, I think it is a crime that only about 30% of all eligible voters do their duty.
I would be willing to bet that the most vocal voices about the 2000 election did not even attempt to vote. Shame on them.

Yeah ... or something like that.

This is mind boggling, the party of vote fraud is now refusing to go to the polls because the election is rigged.
Meanwhile, in other news, we learn that John Dillinger refused to enter banks for fear of being robbed.

Maybe some of "the left wingers are not voting", but I bet there will be plenty of dead people and illegals that do vote--sometimes twice. Part of the dems base, ya know!

If a liberal said to me there is no point in voting because the fix is in, I think I would keep my mouth shut & let them stay home.

As far as Gore being the one who caused all the mess in 2000, I think someone else was behind it. Gore called & conceded the election on election night 2000. Then he took it back & fought. Who do you suppose told him to call back his concession? Could it have been ........... clinton???????

The Democrats appear to be ready to mount a massive drive for illegal votes and are making all these noises so that if or when they are caught they can allege that the Republicans are disenfranchising voters. The Democrats appeal to the UN is an effort to gain the expertise of voter fraud from those dictator led nations - birds of a feather flock together.

"But then again, I think it is a crime that only about 30% of all eligible voters do their duty."

I respect an uninformed voter much less than someone who doesn't vote. We don't need turkeys pecking at marbles at the voting booth. We don't need sheep easilly manipulated by a candidate's looks, height, certain buzz words, etc. We don't need clowns who do nothing more than turn on Dan Blather every night and read the NY Slimes every morning. That's not being informed enough.

I agree with Boortz that a change needs to be made. How about this? One must make at least one post in two political forums each year before one can be registered to vote. It doesn't matter which two forums, so long as they are primarilly political. People who don't own computers can visit a library if need be, or have a friend relay a post for them. The more aware people are of political forums, the better decisions they will make come voting time. I realise that there are conservative-free zones, which is why I suggested two forums. We need to REDUCE the voting percentage of uninformed voters who are unwilling to make the effort to find a forum and make a post, and 90% of the people who make a post are curious about the reaction to their post.
