He just announced this on Hardball; he said that Kerry told him this personally on the phone while they were discussing Reagan's appearance at the Democratic Convention that his first act in office if he's elected will be to sign an executive order to reverse Bush's stem cell policy.

Second, they've never had success in using the cells from babies. All of the advancements have been made in adult stem cells.
Exactly. Fetal cell research is old news. It is a red herring trotted out by the media to cause more division. All the cutting edge work is looking at stem cells harvested from adults, or even taking adult skin cells and 'turning' them back into stem cells that can differentiate into any type of body cell. It has also been shown that they can make the cells young again by lengthening the telomeres. This will be the next generation of medicine once they get the engineering worked out.

This argument doesn't really hold water. No investor in his right mind is going to buy into something that is at serious risk of being severely restricted or banned by the government.
Bullsh*t. They do it all the time with pharmaceuticals. People invest in drugs that the FDA later fails to approve all the time. The fact of the matter is that the benefits to using stem cells for babies hasn't been shown. That's why nobody wants to dump money into it. That's also the reason why the left feels the need to have OUR money dumped into it.

(You can fool some of the people some of the time and that’s usually sufficient for Democrats.)

That's why the Left wants OUR money to be used for it.

The potential of stem cell research is exciting and awesome, but this pathetic pitch by *Ron* Reagan is nothing more than part of the pro-abort agenda.
BTW, I wonder if Michael Reagan will come out swinging on any of these statements Ron is making.
I hate to say it, but I think that Ron may belong to the milk man. I heard something today about Michael possibly speaking at the RNC.

Is Ronboy a homo? If he's not, he's certainly one of the most gay-looking heterosexuals around.

Oh sure he will Ron, immediately just for you.

This is how low Kerry and the Dems will go to get elected. And they will go as low as it goes, that's why it is so important for republicans to unite and expose them for what they are~!!~

Michael at the RNC? Well yea. And double yea. Pass the popcorn. I am so there. All over that like stink.
To: Howlin
Of course that's what Kerry told him; that's what he thinks Ron wants to hear (and he's probably right). He's probably telling Rosie O'Donuts that the first thing he'll do is proclaim gay marriage legal in all states by EO.

Why does Ron Reagan think what he says is so important?
It's not.

Yes, William Clark! Thank you for remembering - it was driving me crazy! I hate it when my brain takes an unscheduled vacation.

I always marvel at the irony of people who call George W. Bush a "murderer".
Adolph Hitler: 6,000,000 innocents killed
Joseph Stalin: 20,000,000+ innocents killed
Policies supported by John Kerry:
44,000,000 innocents killed.
George W. Bush: a few thousand GUILTY killed.
The question is: WHY ISN'T THE PRO-LIFE COMMUNITY AMPLIFYING THIS?

Actually its EMBRYONIC stem cell research with federal funds.
There is federal funds for NON embryonic stem cell reasearch.
I believe we will have a dueling Reagans now.
Besides Michael Reagan is a better speaker than the bitter boy. Seriously Michael Reagan has a career in public service, jr has a whatever.
