KERRYS GIVE VOTERS AMPLE REASONS TO VOTE FOR BUSH

The odd couple, John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry, albeit inadvertently, keep providing the electorate with reasons why they should all reelect GWB. A few samples:

(1) Running against a president with impeccable defense credentials, Kerry said on network TV that he "hadn't had time for a national security briefing on a new al-Qaeda threat." Kerry remarked on CNN that the Bush administration offered to brief him on the latest al-Qaeda threat, but "I just haven't had time." I guess he had to find time from his and Edwards continually televised Love-Fest and Ball-Throwing to get the briefing this past Sunday at his home.

(2) Kerry praised a bunch of his Follywood supporters---foul-mouthed celebrities who made nasty, vulgar remarks about a sitting President while raising mega-bucks for Kerry. After various performers called Mr Bush a "cheap thug," compared him to a criminal (Slim-Fast spokesman Whoppi Goldberg made off-color jokes about Bush's name), Kerry said, "Every performer tonight, in their own way, either verbally or through their music, through their lyrics, have conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country." Kerry's campaign manager, Mary Beth Cahill, later said, "He does not approve of some of the remarks that were made last night." But when queried about whay he did not say so at the time, Cahill had no response. The foul fund-raising fallout gave Republicans a leg up in the all-important American values debate. "The liberal left of Hollywood and the Kerry campaign got together for a star-studded hate fest," Bush's campaign manager said later.

(3) In yet another paradox, billionaire philanthropist Teresa Heinz Kerry mouthed odd feminist musings at the launch of what was billed as the new Dim ticket's "mainstream values" tour. Teresa's weird musings also underscored Kerry's potential as a loose cannon whose unpredictability is a distinct asset for the GOP. One minute Teresa is asserting why women with opinions should be called smart, not opinionated, "just like men." The next minute, she switches gears saying she and Elizabeth Edwards keep track of dates "because women generally do those things, and the guys just think about big things." Gloria Steinem will not be amused.

(4) Although voters wonder about John Edwards' experience and foreign policy credentials, the Kerrys keep referring to his good looks. News reports quoted Teresa as saying: "He's better-looking in person than in photographs. Look at him, he's blushing," Heinz Kerry told a crowd of about 25,000 people at a rally in Raleigh.

(4) Kerry himself weighed in delivering a line about what he and Edwards have in common: "He was named by People magazine sexiest politician of the year. And I read People magazine." Asked later whether he minded such remarks, Edwards told news outlets, "As long as it's done in a funny way, it's fine." As Gomer would say, "Well g-o-o-o-l-l-l-y."

Edwards addition to the Dim ticket is turning out to be much ado about nothing even though the VP pick it was expected to launch the Dims into the polling stratosphere. Kerry's campaign team actually resorted to releasing a statement claiming they did not expect Edwards addition to give the ticket a poll bounce.

Sure they didn't (guffaw).

So why pick someone who's a deadbeat at the polls, huh?

Because all of the internal polling and focus groups said go with Edwards.

Will they never learn?

That is what we really need, a President during wartime who reads People magazine. Yep, that's the ticket all right, if anybody could make me want to see Slick back in office, it's Kerry.

I think Kerry picked Edwards to jazz up his campaign. This shows extreme short-sightedness. The public knows elections are serious business, not horse races or popularity contests. Even the most ignorant person knows who the president is. They may not even know who their own mayor is, but they know the president. And many don't even know the veep. So this will come down to Bush vs. Kerry and who the public thinks will better lead the country for the NEXT four years. Edwards, Cheney, they won't make a difference either way.

Will they never learn?

They have the same ability to learn that a snarling rabid dog possesses.

Just like his assinine statement while campaigning that he voted for a bill after voting against it (or vice-versa-----yawn), Kerry is clueless about the collateral effect of his statements. Most people could care less if he reads the shallow and meaningless drivel in People magazine or not.

The thing I find amazing is that Edwards was adamant that he would not accept the VP slot. Then he reportedly turned right around and lobbied hard for just that. Such an amazing amount of duplicity astounds me. And now their big lie, mainstream values. Even after Clinton, I cannot believe America will buy this.

they've said that the selection of edwards didn't "balance"
the ticket, but I believe it did; now half the ticket
actually has a pulse . . . or personality . . . or something.

Kerry said on network TV that he "hadn't had time for a national security briefing on a new al-Qaeda threat."

Which, if you weren't watching at the time of the original broadcast, was NEVER repeated again by the media.

That does sound a lot like Kaptain Ketchup. Kerry is a lot like Michael Moore, thinking the American people are stupid, and swayed by flash and slickness. It may be true that the fanatic democrat voters are, but the vast majority of people will see through the load of fertilizer Kerry and Edwards are putting out.

"Flush the johns."

The potential for Edwards to generate "negative" publicity could be a defining factor.
