"He now answers to the call of Dr. Reagan ... I'll take Michael anyday :)"

These two are polar opposites; 'good - bad' in my book. Ron is more than pathetic. I wonder if they share anything besides the same Father.

Cannot imagine with Michael's passion for his Father and his Father's politics that he would even want to 'go there' - anywhere; with Ron. . .

Ahhhh, but you see...BECAUSE they're such opposites, and BECAUSE Michael not only HAS faith in the same God his dad did...he'll stand above all of this. I agree with the poster who said he/she'd like to have Michael speak at the Republican convention! He'd make his dad proud.

I'm still, btw, wondering WHY Ron doesn't like to be called Jr.?!

Maybe he'll talk about his dad's earlobes for 35 minutes.

Better that Ron is their problem than ours.

I can't imagine he could say anything nastier, than what that ugly black 'comedienne?' said...and if Nancy thinks it's fine, then she's spitting on her husband's grave, just as surely as he is. Pretty pathetic.

When I first read this news, I was a bit concerned about potentially negative impacts on W's campaign.

But on reflection, I sincerely feel that it hurts the Dems, not the GOP. Let the face of the Dems, and of Kerry's campaign, be this disloyal, simpering, disturbed "young" man. The more over the top he is with his criticisms of W, the more he discredits himself and his party.

I wouldn't be surprised if by the time the convention rolls around, cooler Dem heads prevail, and he is either dropped from the schedule or put in a decidedly non-prime time slot.

And what, he's going to mention his father at the RAT convention and they're going to cheer? Talk about priceless.

Think that would be great for Michael to be participate.

OTHO, maybe there are plans; or. . .they may never have given it a thought.

Whatever the case, the Repubs should be thinking about it now. . .there surely will be a tribute to President Reagan; Michael should be there.

As for Ron not liking the 'jr' of his name; guess he just does not like the 'association' with his Dad to be that close. Ron falls somewhere between the cracks of 'scorn' and 'pity' here.

Funny they imagine this a win-win for them.

When asked by Sam Donaldson about whether he didn't share blame for a particular problem after he had just blamed it on the Democrats, President Reagan replied, "Yes. For many years I was a Democrat."

Dutch Reagan was born into a Democratic family and considered himself a liberal for many years. He was born in 1911 and didn't become a Republican until the 1960s - he was already in his fifties at the time.

R. Prescot Reagan is only 46 years old and still wet behind the ears. Who knows but that there could be hope for him yet?

In the meantime it's ironic that Michael, who was adopted by Reagan while he was married to Jane Wyman, is the loyalist and Ronald, Nancy's son by Dutch, is otherwise. Michael accepts with gratitude the gift he was given; Ron despises it. His choice. That way the public expects nothing in particular of him . . .
