"Reagan also opposes Bush's stand on stem-cell research. That is the only reason Reagan accepted the Democrats' invitation, he said."

Lying tutu-wearing ingrate! He never had the 'nads to work out the pressure of having a great man for a father so he engages in post-mortem rebellion.

Why would it embarrass republicans? Ron was always a liberal, his dad loved him anyway. It's Ron who can't get over his hatred for his father, poor thing.

How does that embarrass Republicans? The du-ers were going on about this being a blow to the RNC. Weren't both the Reagan girls, Patti and Ron, always causing Nancy and President Reagan grief in some form? Ron was always a leftist, his going to the democrat convention barely makes a yawn factor one.

In true leftist form, the two girls couldn't wait to use their father's death to push their agenda against President Bush. It would surprise me if they didn't use the opportunity (their father's death) to attack the Republicans at the dem convention.

Fine. Schedule Michael to nominate Pres. Bush at our convention. I've wondered for weeks now, why the Bush/Cheney people haven't already scheduled Michael Reagan to speak at the GOP Convention. Has anyone heard whether or not this might happen?

Wouldn't dad be proud. Ron P will have to trash everything that his dad stood for.

Well stated. Sad though that little Ronny thinks so little of his mother as well to do such a thing, and also so close to his fathers burial. It just smells. I can appreciate his being 'liberal' but not his timing.

ROFLMAO! That was funny!

Ron Reagan, the young one, is a twit and insignificant. I sure wouldn't want him addressing the Republican Convention so he might as well go congregate with the Dems. We continue to have the best of the Reagans.....father and son Michael. :) And Maureen! Bless her heart. She is certainly missed and I can't imagine what she would think of the ingrate's behavior.

His dad loved him anyway, because Ronald W. Reagan was a principled man.

Ron Reagan has a right to his views but doesn't he see or care how he is being used. How sad. The Dems only wanted him so their liberal media pals can use it in big headlines. This pathetic creature is going to need a good shrink later on the line when he realizes how he abused his last name.

To Patti's credit, the last few years she had actually grown up, a bit, from what I hear. Still a leftie tho.

It's not new. Ron has always opposed his father. In 1980 I hosted a campaign tour with Michael Reagan, but Pattie and Ron were suporting Carter.

I was reading another thread tonight and the poster said that Ron HATES (ahem!) to be called Ron Jr.

I'm not ADVOCATING this now, children, I'm just passing it along.

I wonder what color tutu Ron will wear? Yellow for the coward that he is, or green for the envy he feels for his father's legacy, the man he could never be.
