Typo:

votes over the General Election of 2000

Perhaps you are not aware that Wisconsin is a Battleground State. I am County Chair for the BC04 campaign here. Every preceinct/city and county has vote goals. We lost here by about .02.

So, we ARE *right on the brink*.

I am surprised you opted for heavy sarcasm, rather than just to query which state and ask if there had been a typo.

You may not be aware that the ground game is in full swing in the Battleground States.

I think there may very well be actions by the Clinton's not traceable to the Clintons. But they will not be in July or August or September. They will come, if needed, in the middle of October.

It is like a horse race. If you can make a horse stumble in the back stretch that is good. But there is always a chance he can recover. But if a horse stumbles in the home stretch is is bye bye victory.

I would give you an example of 2000. The Democrats could have released the DUI on Bush in July or August, but they dd not. They waited until the week before the election to bring it to light. It almost cost Bush the Election. Had they hit with it in the summer it would have been lived down by election day and no factor in the results.

What the Clintons have or the Bush camp have to hurt Kerry and Edwards will not be used until October.

The trick is to kick em down when they don't have enough time to get back up.

You are absolutely correct if Kerry is going to be the nominee and Edwards his running mate.

However, I am suggesting that neither of these are cast in concrete. I am suggesting that if the markets tank, markets tanking are a forecast of a declining economy, then Bush is very vulnerable to defeat. If the Clintons decide that Bush can be taken down now, they will not wait for 2008. And if she were willing to opt for second place on the ticket (?), the Clintons would have little trouble pushing Kerry aside in 2008, even if he happened to win in 2004.

This "new" anti-deficit "proposal" is just an attempt to fool conservatives into forgotting or forgiving three years of massive spending and debt increases. It is a gimmick to win votes. To quote the immortal words of John Mitchell, "watch what we say not what we do." Dubya has already done plenty....whatever he says now that he needs the votes of guillible conservatives.

I didn't miss the stuff about tax cuts but any such cuts will only become tax increases if spending continues to rise. Heck, just yesterday I heard a NPR report in which one of Dubya's henchmen in a typical effort to outbid Kerry bragged about how much he had increased the education budget and how much more he will increase if given four fours years.

"Why don't you grow up and realize that when you teach the rest of us a lesson by not voting, you teach yourself one as well or didn't you suffer through 8 long, miserable years of Clinton? Have my serious doubts about anyone saying they are sitting out to teach us a lesson -- shortsighted and foolish. Unlike you, I would never not vote to teach anyone a lesson and it frosts me to no end to meet someone that did. Voting is a privilege that we have in this country and those that refuse to vote are an affront to the very people that fought to make sure we kept our freedoms and with that our right to vote. Anyone that doesn't vote but touts the Constitution is a hypocrite IMHO. As my Dad used to say -- if you don't vote then shut up as you have no right to complain. I grew up with that and it was as true the day he said it as it is today."

Nice rant, sweet pea. Apparently your reading comprehension is somewhat lacking. I've never missed a vote in my entire adult life. That includes the 8 years I spent in the United States military. So your little soccer-mom civic lesson is quite wasted on me.

BTW....I'm not trying to teach anyone a lesson. I just don't vote for socialist gun-grabbing New England frat boys who wipe their @$$ with our Constitution. Got it?

BTW, who is this guy you are supporting -- never even heard his name here in Oklahoma.

He lives in Texas. I suggest that you look at his website www.badnarik.org where he has detailed position papers on many subjects. If you will open your mind and forget blind loyalty to the Republican Party that has betrayed us all, you might see a very good possibility for president.

The thought of Bush for 4 more years without re-election pressure to temper his ideas is scary beyond belief. Look at the tyrannical things that he has done while still worried about an election.
