BAGHDAD (AFP) - A vehicle accident near the flashpoint city of Fallujah killed four US marines, a military spokesman told reporters.
"The deaths were as a result of a vehicle accident in the Camp Fallujah area and are considered non-hostile," said the spokesman for the marines who are based around the Sunni Muslim insurgent bastion, 50 kilometres (30 miles) west of Baghdad.
The US military had earlier said that the four marines died on Saturday "while conducting security and stability operations" without elaborating on the precise cause of death.
Fallujah should be a parking lot by now - it's a hornet's nest...
Unfortunatelly it was decided to negotiate and pull-out and it didn't work.
The media drools some more since it's getting to their "1000" deaths in Iraq. They can't wait for their 1000 dead to dominate the news.
Good afternoon dear America friend.

Grom salute to good great America marine.
The word "Marines" deserves to be capitalized.
Fallujah and it's surrounding areas are like an evil curse on that land.
Thank you Polish friend. Your sentiments are very much appreciated here.
May your souls rest in peace, brave Marines.
You would never had known this was a non-hostile accident by reading the Dallas Morning News.
Thank you great America friend.

Classis overstretched headline. Would they have run a story that said, "Four US marines die in vehicle accident near quiet Iraqi town"?
What, exactly, was the town's contribution to these deaths?
