Osama's Revenge
Warren Zevon ^ | 7/10/04 | Warren Zevon

Posted on 07/11/2004 2:16:41 AM PDT by beyond the sea

According to the new book "Osama's Revenge", by Paul Williams, who was interviewed by Linda Vester yesterday, Bin Laden purchased 80 suitcase nuclear bombs from the so-called Russian Mafia. Furthermore, he says many of these bombs have already been smuggled into the USA and are dispersed around the country. Given their love for syncronization, there won't be any warning, but rather dozens going off at the same time all over the country.

A rather frightening thought. People in Israel and the UK are also major targets, obviously. Williams goes on to say that he has confirmed all of this with various nations' intelligence agencies including USA, UK, Pakistan, Russia, etc., but that our government, and the media, will not tell the truth as they are afraid of what it might do to our economy, stock market, etc. There is also fear of civil disobience as Arab-descent persons may become victims of mob violence and persecution.

Williams feels we will come under nuclear attack, most likely this year, but definitely by next year.

Of course, he is trying to sell his book so his motives are questionable. Also, if Bin Laden had all these bombs, why hasn't he used any of them yet. One nuke, regardless how small, would surely result in more fear and press than hundreds of beheadings and car bombs. But I wondered what you all thought about these claims.

*******

The UN along with the Soviet military tried to inventory these "suitcase bombs" and only found half of them.

******

From the Publisher of the book:

Former consultant for the FBI on organized crime and international terrorism and a seasoned investigative reporter, Paul Williams reveals the potential for nuclear terrorism on U.S. soil in this shocking exposé. Based on the findings of U.S., Israeli, Pakistani, and U.K. intelligence, Williams describes how the theft of tactical nuclear weapons from Russian arsenals have in all likelihood made their way to al-Qaeda cells throughout the United States in preparation for the next terrorist attack.

Williams presents evidence showing that, in the chaos following the demise of the Soviet Union, the Chechen mafia got their hands on portable Russian nuclear weapons. Between 1996 and 2001, they negotiated the sale of twenty nuclear “suitcase bombs” to representatives of Osama bin Laden. According to Williams, reliable sources indicate that these bombs may already be in the possession of al-Qaeda cells in New York, Washington, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, Houston, and Los Angeles. In addition, bin Laden has recruited former Soviet scientists and technicians to maintain these weapons and recharge their nuclear cores so that they may be deployed immediately on his command. In 2001, he issued a statement boasting of a “Hiroshima” against America.

Also included in the book are bin Laden's "Letter to America" and his "Declaration of War against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places," as well as the World Islamic Statement declaring "Jihad against Jews and Crusaders." These crucial documents highlight the rationale behind and the depth of bin Laden's hatred for the United States. Moreover, Williams documents that Osama has the international network of embedded terrorists to carry out his threats.

Although the media have reported on some of these threatening developments and government insiders have acknowledged the threat of nuclear attack, no one until now has put all the pieces together in a coherent, no-nonsense way. Williams makes a persuasive case that Bin Laden and his deputies have the motive and the means and are waiting for the right opportunity to launch an apocalyptic attack against the “Great Satan” of America.

On a higher level, what can the world and American leaders do to try to diffuse this hatred for America? This must be stopped.

You smash the people who have the hatred flat and then hose off the piece of earth that their remains are polluting. Are you in the right place?

You can't just put one in the closet like luggage for several years & then expect it to work.

Just one nuke goes off anywhere in the US and there won't be anymore local mosques.

PERFECT!!! Do it first.

Exactly.

However that opens the possibility that entities that want to see that happen could false flag it to reality.

I'd have to believe the Russian Mob would be up to that task...at the right price of course. I mean, if they've found a price at which to actually deliver to Al Queda WMDs, why could they also not find a price at which detonate one knowing who'd get the blame?

My point is that there are a lot of very dangerous agendas in play right now.

Why does everyone assume these alleged suit-case nukes are old? Who is to say they havent been built in the last 5 year?
In your opinion, will we get hit next with a Bio, Chem, Dirty bomb or Nuke?

If Osama bin Laden had a single mythical "suitcase nuke," not to mention 80 of them, 911 would have been a nuclear attack on the World Trade Center.

It wasn't.

Case closed.

Thank you, oh wise one.

I hope your translucent, luminous, yet quite transparent "wisdom" prevails.

I'm just not buying the "suitcase nuke" theory -

In fact, the whole notion that the former USSR had 80 suitcase nukes is questionable to begin with - Most nuclear (small sized) weapons.....are still not able to be in a "suitcase" - they are more like a "gym locker" size (for starters) -

Also if all these agencies knew that UBL had 80 suitcase nukes you would see a much more united international body (because behind the scenes they would "know" what is coming -

This is 98% a guy just trying to hype a book -

Though the idea of some type of "dirty" bomb is very real and the threat from Al Qeade is very real - just not suitcase nukes IMO.

Just in case, don't drink the water. You'll be driving porcelain for a week!
