these ominous words have been used numerous times, going all the way back to shortly after 9/11. I'm curious as to "How" the scientist is going to be shocked.

"Scientist" is the way Ajeeb translates the Arabic word that would be better translated as "Learned Cleric" or "Respected Cleric". It refers to an Islamic cleric.

IMO the scientist would never expect AQ to concoct such a horrific blend of toxins- nor to be able to disperse it so widely as to kill 100,000.
The mix planned for Jordan had some 47 or 57 chemicals in it (also some bios, I think.)
