LUCKY THREAD NUMBER:
HOMELAND INSECURITY
Backup electrical systems failed to kick in
A mysterious power failure at Logan Airport that delayed dozens of flights for more than five hours has still not been explained six days later.
Airport officials insist airline security was not compromised during the blackout Monday at Logan International's Terminal E, but backup electrical systems failed to kick in as they are programmed under such circumstances.

Check.
China is getting to do some "amphibious exercises" 200 KM off Taiwan as well, and they have been really complaining about the presence of the US Navy's finest in the general vicinity.
It appears the rendezvous point for the surge exercise is within striking distance of China and NK. Kida stinks to be Chinese right now, with 7 CBG's breathing down your neck.
Self denigration does not become you, M'Lady. It's Nyquist's job to communicate properly.
OMG, that was written up so well! VERY funny. Good work!
You're right. Sorry.

Thank you!
If the dollar collapses...so does China.

I've corresponded with Nyquist on a couple of occasions, and I can assure you he is a pretty valid source of information. Most of what he is writing is documented, and proven by fact.
Thanks for the prayers guys.
Anything on the ground based laser that they're said to have deployed?
STRIP SCARE
The Las Vegas Strip shut down, between Spring Mountain & Cathedral, for more than an hour today because of a possible bomb threat. As Action News was the first to report, it turns out, a suspicious device was only an antenna that fell off a vehicle. That word from the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Indeed it is. After the Rats complaining in Florida in 2000, all it would take is a thunderstorm over a polling place [much less a terrorist act] to get the Rats to challenge the election at the Supreme Court.
IMO it is not the seriousness of the attack, but that there IS an attack of some kind to throw the results into challenge mode by the losing party.....
I dont disagree with you there vigilantcitizen. China's modern economy is pretty much pinned to subcontracting to America.
But- the Chinese military is totally nationalist and intent on establishing itself as a global power. The policy for years was to bully America and use threats to gain results.
Now that threats no longer work on the United States with President Bush in office, they are faced with an option:
Become powerless and lose face
or
Shut up and stay in the corner.
Thats a situation I wouldnt be able to predict the results of, but I dont think they are in the position to challenge the US for at least a decade or so.
How long will you jail me for a <3 minute infraction? You guys are mean, mean, mean!
I'm surprised we have not seen more terror operations like the DC snipers. It was quite effective and they took out a good number of people before they got caught. I always thought it was a 'test run' but I may be wrong since we have not seen more of it. I guess only time will tell for sure.
Look at her last posts. She's been quiet, but a little distressed about the direction of the thread.
I havent been able to find anything, other than the "blinding lasers" they developed during the Cold War.
Both China and the USSR developed and fielded them in large numbers.
I read something very recently, and I don't remember where it was. I'll dig.
