Hollywood's Bush-bashing act earns Kerry some bad reviews

NEW YORK -- Hollywood stars at a Democratic fund-raiser here late Thursday night ripped President Bush as a liar, "another cheap thug" and a killer in a night of Bush bashing that put the Kerry team on the defensive and provoked widespread criticism. Both Sens. John Kerry and John Edwards were on stage at Radio City Music Hall as the stars uttered their remarks. Neither one rebuked them. Kerry, in fact, said that every performer "conveyed the heart and soul of America."

Yesterday, Republicans called on the Kerry campaign to repudiate the remarks and to release a videotape of the concert so people can judge for themselves. Kerry aides reacted by saying that the stars' attacks didn't represent the candidate's thinking. "If John Kerry is going to praise last night's star-studded hate-fest and characterize it as the 'heart and soul' of America, he should share these values with voters everywhere," said Bush campaign manager Ken Mehlman.

Even a song written for the fund-raiser captured the vehemence of the night. In a song called "Texas Bandido," John Mellencamp wrote, "He's just another cheap thug that sacrifices our young. ... You're going to get us killed with your little white lies."

In a statement yesterday, Sen. Zell Miller (D-Ga.) said he was saddened, but not surprised, that Kerry didn't challenge the commentary. "Last night John Kerry held a fund-raiser in New York that featured performers in a time of war calling the president of the United States a killer, a cheap thug and a liar. John Kerry just sat there, grinning like a mule eating briars," Miller said.

Perfect opportunity for Hillry to make some fast cash and dump a load on the Johns. No one would ever suspect old Hillry selling a bootleg copy of the event.

Kerry seems to be the 'Cheap Thug'. Why? The number of nasty comments he makes about others. Example, referring to Edwards, saying that "he was still in diapers". Or, his claiming Bush needed "training wheels on his bicycle",

Another example, Kerry criticized Vice President Cheney for uttering an obscenity at Leahy. However, Kerry granted an interview to 'Rolling Stone', and used the same obscenity directed at President Bush.

Kerry is a damned lying hypocrite. Furthermore, he is arrogant and uncaring about other people.

Actually, it's more damning than that. These guys truly do represent Kerry's heart and soul.

First, how the hell would he know? And second, none of those degenerates speaks for me..

I cant wait for the debates Kerry will end up saying some of the most ridiculous things in the name of America...

I can see it now "America's arrogance has led us to a war we cannot win and we look like fools on the world stage..,. " yeah he'll say something like that every 3 minutes

The thing that comes across the most with Kerry and Edwards is that they are fundamentally unserious men, with Edwards bordering on the unserious boy and/or MIMBO.

They are not grade A(merican) prime, no matter Kerry's Brahmin roots or Edwards down-home or 'aw shucks' style.

President Bush had it right when he was asked what the difference was between Edwards and Cheney and replied that Cheney can be President, more to the point the same can be said if Kerry replaces Edwards in that question.

Americans should wake up and stop partonizing the movies & music which gives these Hollywood bubbleheads the source of their wealth.

The low rent, lowest common denominator wing of the Democrat Party(75%)is not the heart and soul of America.

They are not Christian.

The stark contrast between Bush who promotes the "love thy enemy" message and Kerry who accepts the "side with your enemy" and "hate your protector" message will prove to be the number one issue this year.

The crudeness shown at the Wellstone memorial permeates the entire "elite" section of the Democrat Party.

We have not seen the likes of this much hate in over 30 years!

It really frosts my gourd when those degenerates claim to speak for ME.

We need a good way to get our message back to them. How about, oh, I don't know--

NOT IN MY NAME!

I wonder if that sounds the least bit familiar to any of them?

Kerry, in fact, said that every performer "conveyed the heart and soul of America."

Sadly, I don't think it's no great leap to say that many, many American's values (heart and soul) were, indeed, well-represented at this event. The war without, the war against islamo-fascists, is first. The war within, the war against leftist-socialist ideology is a close second. From all appearances we don't seem to be doing too well in this second war.

Hey, John, do the words 'Wellstone Funeral' mean anything to you?

I wrote this in another thread about Michael Moore:

The farcicle left is giving that Wellstone funeral a run for the money...

Truly, these people are insane if they think they are going to convince a majority in this country that they are better for it than Bush...Their HATRED for anything Bush is so overwhelming that the lies they spew are now becoming their religion.

Remember that John Kerry called Bush and his adm., liars.

I'm telling you people the more time these loser get to regurgitate their crappola the more this nation will disdain that rabble of deceiving prix.

It's telling that even Howard Dean, when caught in the same situation, had the insight to know it was wrong and apologized for it. Kerry is oblivious.
