It's telling that even Howard Dean, when caught in the same situation, had the insight to know it was wrong and apologized for it. Kerry is oblivious.
I likely will get smacked for saying this but when the Dims decided that they would anoint Kerry rather then Dean we lucked out.
Howard Dean has core values, principles and a (albeit small) sense of decency. Kerry has none of these things. People would have voted for Dean. People for the most part will not be voting for Kerry. They will be voting against Bush.
That is not a place to build from for Kerry. Even if he should by some miracle win, he will have no coattails to bring along a Dim majority in Congress.
This is about to get interesting.
