Former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, dispatched by the CIA in February 2002 to investigate reports that Iraq sought to reconstitute its nuclear weapons program with uranium from Africa, was specifically recommended for the mission by his wife, a CIA employee, contrary to what he has said publicly.
-------- snip! ----------
Wilson's assertions -- both about what he found in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information -- were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report.

Congratulations.
Not only does the Senate Report confirm your source, it also states Valerie herself authored a memo suggesting her husband.
Maybe they're having some inter-spousal communication difficulties.
I beg to differ. Nothing in my comments can be taken as personal, and certainly not gratuitous (Webster "not called for by the circumstances or insolent"). I do not call the others names, or slime their character or intelligence, or question their heritage, or suggest they go elsewhere.
Critical yes, but not personal. I said the postings were without much substance, not the posters. The first is critical, the second would have been gratuitous.
That's like saying to stay off FR. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last I heard there was one person who could say that, and that is Jim Robinson. I don't think you are him.
So, no, thank you for your friendly words, but I think I'll stay involved, reading the live threads (and others too) when they come up, commenting when the mood strikes. Alas, since I do not have cable, and rarely watch TV anyway, FR has become one of my sources of information.
It's just that when judged by the standard of, say, even the alphabet soup news, live reports on FR fall down pretty low. The one good thing compared to our Fourth Estate=Fifth column reporting is that at least FR cheering is for the right side.
No cable and you don't watch T.V. anyway, yet you complained vociferously about someone's posting live threads and belittling them for doing so,when FR and those threads are your ONLY way to know what's on T.V./cable? Just how confused can you get? LOL
LOL! Some of those are hilarious......some may be spot on.
Diplomat at Eye of Storm (Joseph Wilson)
He also supports efforts by the antiwar organization Moveon.org to put conditions on spending in Iraq by the Bush administration -- among them, the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and others.
Thank you for the heads up/link!
You're welcome!
Thanks for that link, too.
You're welcome!
"...But can RNC do it?..."
Yes they can, but WILL they do it?
No balls, no battles. Of course there are exceptions, but they are few and far between.
IMHO, the focus should be on the Wilson story and the other lies propagated by the liberal press.
Instead, the Senate is wasting valuable time on the Gay Marriage issue (and I do support the Amendment) which had a snowball's chance in hell of passing at this moment in time. It is an issue which could have waited until after the election. Terrorism and National Security can not.
I'm not sure what your problem is here. If I get my oil changed, eat breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express, buy tires, board an airplane, I'm subjected to TV. More often than not CNN. So what's so hard to understand about comparisons to what I see there?
As to who makes the calls on FR, I suggest you re-read my post. I'm afraid you are the one who is confused, not I.
As to telling another poster that they add little in the way of information, well with all your words the last several days I have yet to see more than 15 seconds (I was being overly generous before) worth of substance on the various posts about Bush's speech.
You also have yet to explain why I should not complain about that lack of information. One could reference Truman's comments about heat and a kitchen, but I prefer to avoid quotes from Democrats, expecially those who had somewhat corrupt administrations.
It's hard to join in the cheering when there is so little "play by play". Listen to a baseball announcer on the radio and let that be your guide to posting live events. If no one out there wants to be like that announcer, then don't complain to me when I remark that there is little of value in the posts.
Of course, if one wants to go through life adding nothing but the grunts and groans with no "picture", then who am I to stop them? And who are you to stop me?
All you seem to want is a fame war.Lonely, are you? Pity that, dear,as you've now quite become a bore and a boor.
But I suggest that if you really and truly want more details, than you find on a "live thread" on FR,go buy yourself a T.V. and get cable. That way you won't miss whatever "details" you imagine you're missing out on,by reading threads on FR! ;^)
Can't we all just get along?
Best thing to do with a hot rock is drop it. (But not on anyone's toes.)
Probably not. :-)
True.
