Now we know: It's our Mideast policy<br> that's creating enemies (Major Barf)
The Post & Courier (Charleston, SC) ^ | 7/9/04 | Ernest Hollings

Posted on 07/09/2004 7:06:55 PM PDT by feedback doctor

Now we know: A) That there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. B) There was no al-Qaida in Iraq on 9/11. C) From 1993 until we attacked in 2003 -- for 10 years -- there was no terrorism by Saddam against the United States. D) Saddam was not involved in the 9/11 attack on the United States. E) Mideast people are generally of the Islam religion and tribal in culture. The Islam religion is strong -- those who don't adhere are considered infidels. F) Mideast countries don't yearn for democracy -- Kuwait, liberated from Saddam, didn't opt for democracy. G) In "A World Transformed," President "Papa" Bush warned, "We should not march into Baghdad ... turning the whole Arab world against us ... assigning young soldiers ... to fight in what would be an unwinnable urban guerrilla war."

"It's about the Jews" ALERT!!

Once again, we need to treat 7th century savages on the same level as a 21st century parliamentary democracy.

Hollings needs to get a drool bag and dismiss himself from the room.

Publicly renounce pre-emptive war.

Oh, %$&^ing great, you drunken old cretin. let's tell the entire $%#^ing world that under no circumstances will we attack you unless you attack us first.

All you lunatic tyrants who want nukes? Go right ahead and develop them. The senile old ex(?)-segregationist Fritz Hollings says it's A-OK with him!

Oh, and you Palestinain terrorists? Go ahead with your project to exterminate the Jews. Ol' Fritz is on your side. Oh, sure, he has to play at "fairness," but think about what he's saying: We should be "even-handed" between you who murder Jews and the Jews who are getting murdered.

Get it? You keep killing the "Zionists," we'll keep being "even-handed," and eventually Palestine will be judenrein from the River to the Sea. Then you and Fritz can get together and celebrate. Don't invite Hamas or Hezbollah, though, bercause Fritz can't go more than ten minutes or so without a shot of bourbon, and we wouldn't want the Islamists to be offended.

This man is a national disgrace.

I just bet the Johns will come out in agreement with Hollings.

I find his disdain for the wall that keeps out terrorists interesting. Besides the obvious, he lives in a gated community on one of the most exclusive barrier islands in Charleston, SC.

I think some one needs to quote Dick Cheney to Sen Hollings

Fritz doesn't live up to Robert Byrd's white sheet standards, but it's not from lack of trying!

Agreed.

And, perhaps someone should take a switch to the Senator's broad behind.

He's a major toon, a caricature of a human being.

I was stationed at the Nuke School in Goose Creek when they brought that POS 'dirty bomber' Jose Padilla in to be held at the brig on the Weapons Station. They brought him in at night, under cover of darkness, and the media didn't know he was there until a few days later.

Hollings went straight to the Post and Courier, screaming about how he didn't know and how it was so unfair that Padilla had to be held in his district etc.

The Post and Courier, like the good little poodles that they are, immediately printed a series of articles about how a terrorist attack could be conducted on Charleston and/or the Weapon Station itself. They were terrorist-friendly enough to point out that the Nuke School itself was not behind a fence or otherwise hard to get to, and was manned mostly by brand-new sailors, ages 18-22, whose mommas would miss them if (for example) a car bomb went off in the parking lot or a small plane crop-dusted them with a particluarly nasty strain of something.

They were even kind enough to print a map of the Weapons Station, making sure to point out how close the brig was to the Weapons Station perimeter fence and a rail line. I wanted to puke.

"Now we are the infidel." "It's not our values or people, but our Mideast policy they oppose."

Can't have both! Yep, anti-Isreal. Talk to any moderate Muslim terror appeaser and the line offered, "STOP ISREALI SUPPORT!" Uh, when did Islamic aggression take root? As it was stated in the article, "we are the infidels." We have and always will be. Boy this article was badly written.

No, Senator Dumbass, extremist Muslim terrorists hate EVERYTHING Western and Western Civilization in general!

The history of the Muslim religion is a history of warfare against non-Muslim religions and Western Civilization, and it has been on-going since 622 AD!

1400 years of Muslim terror is quite enough, TYVM! Time to put an end to it, once and for all, and the Mid-East is the most appropriate place to wage war against extremist Muslim terrorists!

Now we know for sure, and there is no room for doubt this time, that:
Z)There was no possible way that Hussein's willful noncompliance to the conditions of the 1991 cease fire or the handful of U.N. Security Council resolutions that he gaffed-off in the years afterward could have had an impact on emboldening those that want to harm America.

Y)It makes perfect sense to say that bush lied or misled us into war, especially when one goes back and reads the text of president Bush's speech on September 20th, 2001.

X)It makes complete sense to be a Democrat and say that the removal of the locally tyrannical Tali-ban in Afghanistan was justified but the removal of the regionally despotic and dangerous Hussein - who showed the world body politic that their resolutions didn't mean s--t - was not justifiable.

W[we'll skip "W" I can't stand "W's"])

V)This alleged antisemitism that's been levied against me has no merit, it is however a trick that the vast right-wing is trying to use to discredit me. Seriously, I don't mind Jews, as long as I'm wearing a vest packed with C4 they give me someone to focus on but do they really have to isolate themselves from the Palestinians? The Palestinians are only trying to provide a little pressure on Israel in order to influence policy. Put another way; who should you trust more Sharon, the dirty Jew or Arafat, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient?
By the way, the fact that I have a nephew named Adolph Hollings - who was born after WWII! - has no bearing on my family leanings.
