The media will all dump this poll - but nonetheless it is very good news -

I heard on an ABC radio news break today...How Kerry/Edwards had "indeed" given Kerry a bounce and they sighted the NBC poll - such a joke -

This AP and Zogby's (showing a 3pt only bump) will not see the light of day on any of the news shows.

But still very good news - if GWB can open up a slight lead now.....that is a huge positive!! being an incumbent it is exactly what he needs.

Yeah! So much for the bounce, it turned out to be a hollow thud.

LOL!
I'm telling you, they'll be adjusting
the polling weights real soon. July,
with their announcement and their sick
convention is :supposed" to be the month
for them to fly high.

I am sorry I thought that he won the senate seat and ashcroft loss correct?

I know Wellstone was dead at the time and his wife took over.....or I am wrong?

My memory fails me at my ripe old age of 27.

Looks like the ambulance chaser's bounce is the lowest for a vp candidate in recent history.

Just listen tonight to some of the Liberal talking heads on the political shows tonight, I guarantee you each on will cite the NBC poll and ignore the AP poll. The faxes have gone out to be sure.

Good job! I do like unmasking the media.

Bravo on your astute dissection of this media report!

(Many do realize but, others need to re-read your post and understand how the left-media manipulate a 'story'.)

The Rat convention is going to be disastrous for the Rats. The more the public sees and hears of Kerry the more they dislike him. If they let Terayzaa speak, the election will be all but over since it will be apparent to all that Kerry married her for her money. Michael Moore will be prominent along with a boat load of half crazed Hollywood types spewing their anti-America hatred.

"The polls are becoming more important the closer we get to election day. With Kerry not getting a bump from picking Edwards, the overall trend looks good for the President."

It also tends to drain energy from the usual post-convention bump. Now that the VP choice is known, the convention holds no suspense, no interest for average person. They will probably have low ratings compared to the GOP, who at least will have the incumbent President and a set of appealing speakers for prime time.

The Dems better get their act together in Boston, because the media will be starving for stories to fill the void and they won't be discreet if there's union trouble or whatever.

Nah, that was Jean Carnahan from Missouri, she won her husband Mel Carnahan's re-election bid because of the sympathy vote. Nonetheless, she's been booted out of office since then, having lost her seat in 2002.

The expression is, "Even a dead cat will bounce if dropped off a building," meaning it's not surprising to see an uptick before a freefall.

It is used in the stock market and it is not applicable here.
