He wants to get Democrats elected and his goal is giving back to the community.
But bad business or not, Reiner can always be relied upon for generous financial donations. The day after former presidential challenger Howard Dean quit the race, Reiner and his wife, Michele, in a flourish of support, gave Kerry the maximum $4,000 allowed by federal law.Donating to lefties is considered giving back to the community????

(My 1.4 cents - It used to be 2 cents, but after taxes - you get the idea.)
"The day after former presidential challenger Howard Dean quit the race, Reiner and his wife, Michele, in a flourish of support, gave Kerry the maximum $4,000 allowed by federal law." I must admit, Hollywood multimillionaires giving up $4000 of their hard-earned money brings a tear to my eye. The sacrifice!

Donating to lefties is considered giving back to the community????Meathead is a moron. We do that every day of the year, whether we want to or not. It's called The Tax System.

Rob Reiner has directed some good films. I try to ignore his politics.I really find it hard to dislike him when I'm watching my well-worn tape of This Is Spinal Tap.

Meathead?Last night the baseball game between the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers was televised. Mark Grace is the color commentator for the Diamondbacks. The camera showed Reiner sitting in the stands, and Grace said "There's Meathead." He called him that three times, never called him Rob Reiner.
Heh heh. Maybe Grace is a conservative.

I haven't spent one penny on a Reiner film since he came out public as such a liberal activist.

On South Park they made him into a no smoking facist who could not stop eating. They had him say:
"Sometimes lying is ok, like when you know what's good for people more than they do." - Rob Reiner

The only difference between Michael Moore and Rob Reiner is a bar of soap and a razor.

Meatloaf Moore beat out for this distinction by the Meathead. Appropriate!

Reiner prepares to defend his title against an enraged Michael Moore.

Rob Reiner has caused more trouble in this state than Gray Davis did. It is thanks to him that smoking is banned, cigarettes cost a fortune and we have lost so many of our rights. He is an absolute boil on the butt of California!

Didn't anyone out there point out the irony that the guy who imposed tough anti-tobacco laws in the state and who supposedly cares so much about other people's children directed a movie where the kids continually SMOKE? Or that it was on the set of this movie that River Phoenix and Corey Feldman were first introduced to marijuana and hard drugs, leading to addictions which killed one and destroyed the career of the other? For what it's worth, I'm actually partial to anti-smoke laws...but unlike Reiner, I'm consisent.
