Nice try but there was DNA testing when he was captured.
I have wondered how soon after Saddam was captured did the Iraqis wait before executing Saddam's doubles.
Shermy, if you see an article about Saddam's doubles, let me know.
Saddam's doubles saw too much about how they were hidden when Saddam was in hiding.
Has anyone ever done a post-war comparison of which were the phoney Saddams seen "walking in the street" and "giving speeches" when Saddam was in hiding?

I see a bright future for Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey. He'll end up either writing al Qatie Couric's copy, or Pinch will give him a nice slot right next to the Dowdy One on the NYT's op-ed pages. If nothing else, he might drag one of them back toward the center.

As even a hardfened capitalist running dog could tell, it is not Saddam. It clearly is, of course, Eli Wallach, in an Arab-accented reprise of his many roles as a Mexican Bandit and Mafioso. On the other hand, it could also be J. Carroll Nash, who was Hollywood's all-around ethnic guy for decades, if he's still alive, that is.
