Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) announces she is voting against the nomination of J. Leon Holmes to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas: In her remarks on the floor of the U.S. Senate, which are continuing as I type this, she also condemned Second Circuit Judge Guido Calabresi for his recent remarks about President Bush. It will be her first vote against any of President Bush's judicial nominees.

You go ahead and vote for her again, but I assure you that this vote of hers will influence my primary vote should she have an opponent.
That is a huge disappointment.
Specter..... Aye
Hutchinson.. Nay
Collins ..... Nay
Snowe...... Nay
Breaux.... Aye
Landrieu... Aye
I call toll free directly into the US Capitol. No way can the elected official tell who is calling!
Kay Hutchison will have her senate seat as long as she wants it.
"Hey Baby" Hutchinson also, contrary to Bush, has pushed to tax the internet.
The sooner she is out the better, Texas brethen.
She won't. She hasn't had a primary opponent, ever.
I'm not especially happy with her vote on this guy, but it's not enough to risk a Chet Edwards or John Sharp as Senator, something which will not happen as long as she wants to serve.
Most speculation is that she's tired of Washington, since she's got two young adopted kids, and has expressed a desire to be closer to Dallas.
She'd beat Rick Perry if she runs against him in a gubernatorial primary.
Hutchison is the most popular Texas politician in office today, next to W.

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Texas ping list!. . .don't be shy.
No, you don't HAVE to be a Texan to get on this list!

I agree. She won't have a primary challenge, but I'd have to vote against her in a contested primary if her vote trend continues like this.
I hope she has a good reason for this.
Kay Bailey Hutchison is a liberal. She is the pro-abortion, pro-pornography, senator from American Airlines. When Hillary was trying to decide whether or not to run for the Senate, Hutchison said she hoped Hillary runs because we need more women in the Senate.
Well, she got her wish and got her political soul mate in the Senate with her. I find it hard to believe that anyone would vote for her instead of Rick Perry. Gov. Perry is a true conservative and a statesman. Hutchison is a liberal bimbo, and a political hack.
"I was really disgusted by her when she adopted those children given her age. She's joined the ranks of those who think babies are like pets to be acquired based on whim."
Yes. And of course, the kids spend all day with a nanny because Mom has more important work!
What a cretin.
So he was confirmed anyway...that's good.
Glad he's confirmed. I've always voted for KBH, but I was always holding my nose.
She's not too popular with me.And I'd go with Perry vs her too. Just my 2 cents.
Some years back I wrote some letters to some folks and her reply was gawd awful.
I've noted others having similar experiences with her too.
I'm disappointed in Senator Hutchison. And I'm none too thrilled with Cornyn after his immigration bill...
This RINO is one of many in congress who have convinced us to NEVER donate ANY money to the RNC! We can pick and choose those whose campaign coffers we feel comfortable enriching.
I do know that she hasn't been as vocal supporting the President and our mission in Iraq as I'd like.
I'm amazed. Specter showed he still has some brains left.
"historic Catholic teaching regarding the relation between male and female."
I guess judges can't write about church history now!
