He Said It! (More On John Edwards' Experience)
Republican National Committee ^ | July 6, 2004

Posted on 07/06/2004 11:58:46 AM PDT by RWR8189

JOHN KERRY ON JOHN EDWARDS' EXPERIENCE: “‘In the Senate four years - and that is the full extent of public life - no international experience, no military experience, you can imagine what the advertising is going to be next year,’ Mr. Kerry said. With a grin, he added: ‘When I came back from Vietnam in 1969 I don’t know if John Edwards was out of diapers then. Well, I’m sure he was out of diapers.’” (Adam Nagourney and Jim Rutenberg, “With Hopes Up And Elbows Out, Democrats Give Iowa Their All,” The New York Times, 1/19/04)

Edward's was not hired for experience. He's hired to sell, sell, sell Kerry.

" . . I don’t know if John Edwards was out of diapers then. Well, I’m sure he was out of diapers." This man can't complete 2 sentances without flip-flopping.

I mentioned this on two other threads but I think the word needs to get out: In all his years as a scumbag trial lawyer, John Edwards, the guy who fights for the common man, NEVER took one case pro-bono.

I don't see these sorts of lines of attack as being useful. I remember when Democrats were all over Reagan for picking Bush after Bush called Reagan's economic plans "vodoo economics". Reagan also wanted Ford as his VP, not Bush.

I don't think it will surprise anyone to see a VP candidate change his views to agree with the top of the ticket, it happens in just about every election.

Edwards: "Can I play with you now, Mr. Kerry? Can I, huh? Can I?"

Kerry: (Patronizingly pats John-Boy on the head) "Yes, you can. Now don't forget to brush your teeth, eat all your vegetables, just like I did when I was in Vietnam."

I remember when Democrats were all over Reagan for picking Bush after Bush called Reagan's economic plans "vodoo economics".

Big difference: In the 1980 race, it was Bush who criticized Reagan's economic proposals and then Reagan chose Bush to run with him. In 2004, it was Kerry who was ridiculing Edwards for his lack of experience and credentials but then he decided that Edwards was great as VP material.

another blurb from NRO weblog;

http://www.nationalreview.com/thecorner/corner.asp

Neverthless, I think one quote is worth dredging up.
In 1988 John Kerry got into a lot of trouble -- and
eventually apologized -- for telling the following
joke when asked about Quayle's qualifications:

"The Secret Service is under orders that if Bush is
shot, to shoot Quayle."

Isn't the announcement of this nomination in and of itself a flip-flop? Didn't the DNC say that the announcement would be made first through an email to their subscriber list?

Sounds like it was all a scam to "register" new DummyRats for propaganda.
