Despite the lack of enthusiasm John Kerry has shown for his very own campaign, he will become the 44th President of the United States.
Although it can be easily argued that it is much too early to call this election, I feel confident that a majority of Americans are so disgusted with the actions of George W. Bush and his administration that they would vote for any candidate that does not come from Bush family lineage.
As it stands in the current polls, Bush and Kerry are neck-and-neck by percentage; however Kerry has a lead in the Electoral College with the added comfort that several swing states will most likely close in his favor. According to Republican pollster, Scott Rasmussen, Florida, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon and Pennsylvania are in the "tossup" category. That's an additional 77 points that are going to swing Kerry's way. The remaining tossups will go to Bush giving him 48 extra points. The bottom line: Kerry 287, Bush 251. This would be a conservative estimate.

I am not a gambling man, unless you count playing horses for a living as gambling, but I am prepared to make a wager with you on this prediction of yours.
If you truly believe that Kerry will win, then put your money where your mouth is. I'll take Bush. You take Kerry. This is a match-race made in heaven. As for the size of the bet, name your poison, and consider it covered.
All winnings from this bet will be donated to Free Repuclic.
I'd be surprised if Kerry got a bump of half of that.
What the hell is a Repuclic? I think I meant Republic.
Having said that, you hate America and George Bush
strikes me as an ignorant statement.
Sounds like this one is in the bag. Time for the 'Rats to put up their feet and start coasting. Maybe they need to divert more money to the Congressional races, since Kerry has it in the bag...
The optimal result is a desperately fought campaign, leading to a twenty-point Bush victory. It never makes sense to let up, even for a second.
Amen!
Take pity on the late arriving. What was pulled from #30? That is the only possible interest on a thread dedicated to the proposition that Kerry is an unstoppable Juggernaught...
I went to a backyard picnic on the 4th. 50 miles from where W was speaking in West Virginia. A lady I have known for 40 years went on a 'tear' saying no church would be telling her how to cast her vote; and that even if she were personally opposed to abortion, she still did not have to vote for W but could choose Kerry. I didn't want to cause a scene at the picnic, but I am really tired of all the people who continue to rail against everything W represents!
How do other FReepers respond these days to the rants by 'friends?'
What a spaz!

Can't give ya any good advice on that one! I usually just let 'em rant, and when they see I'm not really paying attention, they move on to something else. I don't say anything, usually, because I know I won't change their mind.
Now my close friends who are libbies (yes, it is possible for a conservative and a libbie to be friends) know they aren't going to get anywhere with me by their rants.
I feel confident that a majority of Americans are so disgusted with the actions of the Democratic Party and their minions that they would vote for any candidate that does not come from the DNC
Was it Barbarah Walters??
Nope, Pauline Kael. Another poster remembered it for me.
Dream on, Shane Cory, dream on.
