I live in Florida. After the Florida 2000 election, the Florida Congress held hearings. They asked for witnesses and people to testify who said they were denied their right to vote.
It was carried down here on the public channel, and lots of us watched. A stream of really strange and semi-irrational people testified, and the funny thing was, they would start with these outlandish stories about how they were supposedly intimidated - but when they were asked, well did they vote - not one of them I recall ended up not voting.
Every single one of them voted. So what were they complaining about?
Someday, somehow, we have got to get the UN away from the US! No way, no how can we have *them* monitoring *our* elections. This is bait for a real fight.
Seems to me that these dems who are pushing for this are hoping their anti-American pals in the UN will help them thwart the will of the voters and rig an election.
These folks are traitors. But that is nothing new. From trying to disregard the will of the people...to lending aid and comfort to the enemy through their harmful rhetoric.
It seems the dems also already have lawyers hired to try and file their law suits in the upcoming election. They tried to steal the last election the same way.
The democrats should just go ahead and use the slogan they really prefer:
"Democraps...we want your vote. And if you don't give it to us....we'll sue you for it"

I think everyone...including the democrats fronting this request...has missed civics in high school. While the federal government may establish some rules about voting for presidents and congressmen...all elections are run by individual states, with their own individual systems. Any UN official who shows up in Alabama...and thinks they will be allowed by officals to be part of the process...is smoking weed. With the exception of California and maybe New York...I can't see too many states allowing these UN folks to move around and do this mission. Nor can the US congress makes this a issue without extreme reaction by the vast US public.
While the numbers are added up in Network central...the real point of elections is each county or polling region. They appoint the 3 or 4 local folks to run a poll station in your local neighborhood, and usually allow a representative from both parties to be present if they want. The county will add up the votes that evening and report them to the state level. Thats the way the system works.
And for those who want an estimate of more UN inspectors would be required...it goes into the tens of thousands. Start thinking about that. Why would I allow 50,000 UN rep's into the US to monitor an election? This becomes a bigger joke...and the fools who started this...look like bigger fools than we thought.
