Gen. Giap: Kerry's Group Helped Hanoi Defeat U.S.
The North Vietnamese general in charge of the military campaign that finally drove the U.S. out of South Vietnam in 1975 credited a group led by Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry with helping him achieve victory.
In his 1985 memoir about the war, Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. - according to Fox News Channel war historian Oliver North.
That's why, he predicted on Tuesday, the Vietnam War issue "is going to blow up in Kerry's face."
"People are going to remember Gen. Giap saying if it weren't for these guys [Kerry's group], we would have lost," North told radio host Sean Hannity.
"The Vietnam Veterans Against the War encouraged people to desert, encouraged people to mutiny - some used what they wrote to justify fragging officers," noted the former Marine lieutenant colonel, who earned two purple hearts in Vietnam.
"John Kerry has blood of American soldiers on his hands," North said.
Thanks for the post and ping, PhilDragoo. kerry should never have been elected to office, never mind running for President. kerry should be finishing a sentence at Leavonworth.
His public statements and actions were slanderous of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who served honorably.
He gave aid and comfort to an enemy which subsequently executed tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
#42. Yes, kerry indeed should be in the middle of serving a long sentence in Leavonworth!!!!
BTTT!!!!
Time for a BUMP!!!!
#46. Chirac must absolutely love Madam Binh, just like kerry does(probably kofi as well)!!!!

Some very odd Kerry apologists on this thread.
Kerry was still on active duty October 15, 1969 according to his records.
The liberal Harvard Crimson published Kerry's confession to the Harvard Crimson that he intentionally and illegally signed out to a false destination that day.
Kerry changed into civvies and then flew Bobby Kennedy's former speech writer (but turned radical anti-war protest organizer) Adam Walinsky to an organized anti-war rally when his anti-war sister Peggy Kerry asked him to help out with the Oct. 15 mass mobilization.
Kerry spent only four months in Vietnam and then requested and got a transfer to become an aide to an admiral in New York after he allegedly was "wounded" three times and received three Purple Hearts, the first of which no records or documents of evidence can prove was authorized or awarded by any US Navy Officer; an instant "PX" early-out for Kut and Run Kerry-Kohn.
He then obtained a six months early discharge from the Navy to run for Congress but dropped out and never attended Navy Reserve meetings even though Kerry claims he was in the reserves until 1978 (for political PR!).
In January 1971 John Kerry attended and organized and co-ordinated (he did not speak at) the so-called "Winter Soldier" rally in Detroit, where "Vietnam Vets" told stories of a war they allegedly had participated in and allegedly witnessed in Vietnam.
It later was revealed many of the "Nam Vets" were neither in Viet Nam or Vets!
Kerrys first public action with VVAW was his high profile speech before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April, 1971.
His speech there was written by former Bobby Kennedy speech writer Adam Walinsky.

This is the current idiotic garbage Hanoi John Kerry spews out now on his campaigns; "UN", "multi-national", "globalist", "worl coalition", ".....smarter and better and faster!"
Yeah, he doesnt have to mention kerry to be implicated with his group. Fact is that kerry at the time is a prominent member of an organization that lent aid and comfort to the enemy. If Giap mentions the group, thats good enough for me.
It's probably not good enough for the crowd that requires a videotape of Saddam driving Atta to the airport on Sept 11, 2001.
#51. I truly thank you for all the information in your post#51. Thank you very much.
Very Best FReegards,

Kerry is bad news. I can't believe thinking Americans will put this lunatic in the WH. No matter who ends up on the ticket with him, he's the nominative head of the party, so should get the brunt of publicity. But RATs are crossing their fingers that the VP nominee will have everything Kerry lacks and more. Smart money has to be on Bush's reelection.
Thanks for the pings, folks !

We had won every major battle in Nam until John al Querry and his band of misfits turned victory into defeat.
John al Querry is a N. Viet Nam hero, not America's.
