BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Sizzling in the acclaim for Fahrenheit 9/11, Michael Moore has accepted an invitation to direct the sixth Harry Potter film, reported CRIENGLISH.com.

Author JK Rowling has announced the title of her sixth novel in the fantasy series.

Moore, who won an Oscar in 2003 for Bowling for Columbine, will weave his own magic on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

It is already being predicted to sweep the boards at the Academy Awards in 2006.

I'd write a brilliant parody of the sort of Harry Potter movie Michael Moore might make if I knew anything at all about Harry Potter.

He was the colonel on M*A*S*H, right?

J.K. Rowling would never let Michael Moore come near her cherished "Harry Potter."

He might just swallow the poor thing.

Michael Moore, before Stacker II=Lard-ass.

Michael Moore, after Stacker II=Slightly smaller lard-ass.

Damn!

And I thought those people were blowing smoke up my butt about Anna Nicole Smith.

Could be worse. They could have asked Ken Loach instead.

If that's the case, I'm relieved. I had a feeling that something from a China news service may be "slightly" inaccurate....

Not true! The title was just wrong--it's "Husky Proletarian." He's going to subtitle it "How I Bewitched Stupid Liberals Into Thinking I Hate Capitalism And Made Millions!"

Ken Loach:

And what in the bloody hell would be wrong with that?(!) My cinema verite filming technique brings the struggles of a poorly served underclass to the attention of a disgustingly sated, self-satisfied, ethnocentric ruling class. DEAL WITH IT BUDDY!

Yeah, but Ken, can you at least have your characters be other than inarticulate Scots gargling with marbles?

I mean, at least Mike Leigh's dialogue is intelligble.

That's your opinion.

I wonder what Ken thinks of it.

Hmmm...

Let's ask him about it.

I thought that he was going to be offered a spot in the cast. Who better to play the "slimy slug worm?"

Put a bottle of 12 year and a copy of a Fred Jamison post-Marxist, postmodernist, post-Toastie tome in front of Loach and he'll go on until tomorrow morning, I'll bet.

That horrid Loach film was on cable recently. Gawd!

Slimy slug worm:

(Disapproving glare. Offended by the fact that you analogized him to Michael Moore.)

"..Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince would be likely to be shot in flashback in the form of a fly-on-the-wall documentary.

The supporting characters would piece together the story which would build to a dramatic crescendo with audiences not knowing until the very last second of the film about Harry’s conversion to the Dark Side and his murder of Hagrid."
