Doubtful that he would take Hillary:
1. He could not control her.

Believe me, if he picks Her Heinous, he would no longer be in control of ANYTHING. He would be totally the Xlinton plaything.

*starts humming* Just a gigolo...

Senator Kerry does not look healthy, in my opinion. His eyes do not seem focused on what is going on around him. His voice is flat to the level of indifference to his own words as if he knows they are meaningless.

If there are health concerns perhaps Senator Kerry might agree to Senator Clinton as a running mate to insure her eventual takeover of the presidency if President Bush loses.

If this occurs would such a deception constitute a conspiracy?

The station that has Rush on in the evenings. In MD it is 680 AM. They stated that Kerry would be announcing his running mate today .

I don't see that anywhere else. It looks like Tuesday will be when it happens.

I've really doubt that Kerry would pick anybody whose political star might shine brighter than his

I agree, but it sure shrinks the field of potential running mates. I doesn't take much to out-shine Kerry.

Ben Stein ("Beuller......Beuller....") is the only one I know who can sound more boring than Kerry.

Lurch could possibly be made to look worse, but it would take some special work and make-up.

The only person who is more of a socialist, Fidel Castro, is busy in Cuba and couldn't run anyway.

If he wants to find a duller, less attractive running mate, he certainly has his work cut out for him.

Keep an eye on Stabenow of Michigan. I do think Kerry will choose somebody well under the radar - his own Dan Quayle.

There is only one person who should be considered to add gravitas to the Kerry Ticket.....Bozo the clown.

It will be Gep-Ron. The unions want him. MO is a swing state and he's the only serious candidate.

Edwards the pretty boy trial lawyer is a pretty boy trial lawyer.

I don't think he will ever even seriously consider Hillary,

I'm not so sure that it's his choice to make. I do think the choice is Bill and Hillary's to make.

They will make the choice based on polling (true polls, not the stuff we're seeing).

I know three dyed-in-the-wool liberals. They will be delighted if Kerry chooses Hillary.

I think that Hillary would be a good choice for the RATs. Most people seem to have made up their minds, and there are few undecideds, so the Poodle needs to worry more about motivating the RAT base than in picking up the fence-sitters. Of course, picking her will also motivate the GOP base...

LOL!!! You list of failed VP candidates includes not a single one that actually won the election in which they ran for president...

She'd be damaged goods. She might run, and win the nomination ($1 to mw11) but her chances of winning would be shot.

IMHO - There's a 80% chance it'll be Edwards (with a 15% change of it being Evan Bayh).

He will need someone youthful, energetic, certainly, good looking and hopefully with charisma.

Edwards is needed to make the south even be competitive (regardless of how folks dis him because he didn't win his own state). Edwards is his only hope.

If Hillary is chosen it will be because his arm was twisted (not because of her popularity). She's adored by 30% of the population (who hate bush and love the Clintons no matter what). But she is hated by the 30% on the other end and she scares the crap out of the mushy middle.

Gephardt is tired and old and is too much of a drag on the ticket (regardless of the pull with/backup of the unions).

I see your point, but has there never been a VP candidate that lost the first election, but won the Presidency later???
The Capt.
