John, you've once again managed to produce another "Best ever..."
I imagine the quagmirists will hold a ceremonial passing of the baton tomorrow - two days after the deadline - to highlight the failed policies of the Bush Administration. Doubt it will get any media coverage from the alphabets, but Michael Moore will be there with his Sony video cam to record it for his upcoming sequel Bush Lied.
was he the one looking at saddams teeth? LOL!!
I made it through a root canal, every Tuesday for the next few months at 8am will be tooth day for me.
Read: 1 Peter 1:3-9
You greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials. 1 Peter 1:6
Bible In One Year: Job 20-21; Acts 10:24-48
Have you ever taken one of those vacations? You planned to arrive at a distant location where you knew youd have a great time, but on the way you had so many traveling difficulties that you wondered if the journey was worth it.
Car problems. Traffic delays. Getting lost. Sick kids. Irritable fellow travelers. You knew the destination would be great, but the trip was anything but smooth. Yet you kept pressing on because you knew it would be worth the trouble.
Thats a picture of the Christian life. Those who have trusted Jesus as Savior are on a journey filled with difficulties, setbacks, tragedies, and obstacles. Trouble always seems to be present or just around the corner. Yet we know that an indescribably great destination is in our future (1 Peter 1:4). And sometimes the assurance of whats reserved for us in heaven is all that keeps us going.
Peter understood. He said that as we make our way through life, we will suffer grief as a result of our troubles. Yet we can actually rejoice through our difficulties, because God has reserved something special for us at the end of the journey.
Troubled today? Look ahead. Heaven will be worth the trip. Dave Branon
Just a drive by post, made it thru the dentist, quick stop to post coffee, I'll have to come back to read.
got to go!
Yep! Sensational just about sums it all up! We could add: "..... and illustrated superbly by Aquamarine!"
He looks just a little concerned here. He should be, can I be on the jury?
Never thought my weekly letter would have within it an iota of a Complaint -- woe is me --
However, when you and Aquamarine sprung your essay for today, there was NO OBLIGATORY **WARNING** !!
She eased in with the wonderful historic photograph of Paul Bremer handing over authority to the new Iraqui governing assemblage.
Then a mere 5" down, she sprung this *horror,* with no warning whatsoever!!
Obviously far removed from reality, he gazes into the distance as if seeking his next victim(s).
*M'Lady shudders at the sight of this apparition.*
If it is, as rumored, Monsewer Kerr-eeee(k), is he peering across to his European Homeland for inspiration as to how to further misguide us?
Will he ever reveal His Grande Plan
for "How to Redeem us Miscreants in the "I's" of the World" ??
Okay - shifting gears as is a woman's prerogative -- now that I think of it, he looks like Johnny Carson in reverse, seeking "answers" to all our questions...
LOL, you two !!
