This has been posted and posted and posted and POSTED to VFR for years now,with President Bush's accomplishments growing even more wonderfully,as time progressed. This should be required reading of EVERY member of FR!

Sadly,there are far too many here who don't care what he's done.They like those over on DU, hate him.There is NOTHING he could ever do or say,that would be enough.They'd always come up with yet one more thing he hasn't done,or complain that what he did just wasn't enough,in some way or another.And THAT is shameful.

That applies to Americans working in Mexico and to legal, repeat, legal Mexicans working in the U.S.

They get SS deducted from their paychecks and when they move back to Mexico they now get full credit as if they had been making contributions into the Mexican SS system.

Ditto for Americans working in Mexico who get full SS credit when they move back to the U.S.

But I have to admit, it gets the adrenaline pumping more when you spin it like you did. That's much more fun and plays with peoples' emotions better (at least, for those who don't know the whole story).

Mexicans will get credit for working in Mexico and can add their years of experience to social security. They didn't pay into our social security in Mexico. Why do you think it will cost American taxpayers if they paid into it?

It's a reciprocal arrangement. Legal Americans working in Mexico now get the same treatment as legal Mexicans in the U.S.

It prevents legal workers from getting gypped out of SS plans, or ripped off by not getting credit for years that they worked in their home country.

True. Now let's see him follow through with it by giving the Attorney General the teeth necessary to make it bite where it counts - in the employer's who are violating it (and there are THOUSANDS) checking accounts.
