Mexicans will get credit for working in Mexico and can add their years of experience to social security. They didn't pay into our social security in Mexico. Why do you think it will cost American taxpayers if they paid into it?

It's a reciprocal arrangement. Legal Americans working in Mexico now get the same treatment as legal Mexicans in the U.S.

It prevents legal workers from getting gypped out of SS plans, or ripped off by not getting credit for years that they worked in their home country.
