Presumed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites)(MA) addresses the annual Rainbow/PUSH convention in Chicago June 29, 2004. Kerry on Tuesday rejected any suggestion that he release records of his 1988 divorce, calling it old history that had nothing to do with anyone else. 'I have no intention of doing that at all,' Kerry said during a campaign stop in Phoenix, Arizona, when a reporter asked if he would release the papers from his divorce from his first wife Julia Thorn. "This an important piece of introducing John Kerry to the nation leading up to the convention,"

Sheesh, he began his campaign last year. He's been the nominee for months. Oh yeah, he was also in Vietnam.

And they still have to "introduce" him???

New Kerry Ad in N.M. Emphasizes Record

If he wants to emphasize his record, how about releasing his full military records? Oh, and the divorce records (plus the annulment records that would allow him, as a Catholic, to marry THK) while we're at it...

Senator Kerry's voting record would play well in New Hampshire.

"He's a husband and father. A pilot, a hunter, a hockey player. Tough prosecutor, advocate for kids," the ad says. "Nineteen years on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee."

Nothing here that strikes me as qualification for the Presidency. What's notably absent is any executive experience whatsoever. Based on this resume, he wouldn't be qualified to manage a Burger King restaurant, let alone the executive branch of the US government.

The 30-second ad also describes him as "a combat veteran who has been praised by former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under both Presidents Reagan and Clinton" and an "author of a strategy to win the war on terror."

An author of "a" strategy (not "the" strategy) to win the war on terror, huh? Sure. Just like Al Gore authored the Internet.

Mister Empty Suit, based on everything I've read here.

When ever you come across a Kerry supporter ask them this simple question and watch the look of confusion and utter desperation come across their face...

Could you please list for me some of the legislation that Mr. Kerry in his 20+ year career in the senate that he has gotten through congress and that he was the author of?

"author of a strategy to win the war on terror."

Gee, am I Rip van Winkle? Did I sleep through Kerry’s strategy to win the war on terror? Or is the add claiming that his vague statements that we need to get the UN to do something amounts to a strategy for victory over the Islamofascists?

"author of a strategy to win the war on terror."

This is likely TRUE. According to leaders of North Vietnam, Kerry was an "author of (their) strategy to win" that war.....

There is no indication concerning which side his strategy is helping win.....

"This an important piece of introducing John Kerry to the nation leading up to the convention,"

How many times does this jerk need to 'introduce' himself. He must be a Gore clone who, on a daily basis, had to 're-invent' himself. Jeeze, this is getting soooo boring.

He's a husband who dumped one rich wife to marry a richer one. He's a veteran who dodged out of a one-year tour of duty in four months and then spent the next several years accusing his comrades of being war criminals.

His "record," using the word in its normal sense, is the record of his votes in the Senate. He has the most liberal record of any of the hundred senators presently serving. He voted repeatedly to gut the defense budget and the intelligence services. He voted repeatedly to raise taxes. That's his record.

New Kerry Ad in N.M. Emphasizes Record

What Kerry did is more important then where he was.

When I think of 'record' I think of accomplishments. What were the accomplishments of Kerry's 2 decade tenure in the senate? Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Wonder why they aren't touting his voting record. hehehe.

Wow. What a headline. What exactly, does the editor think his record is? And why wasn't it in the story about the emphasis on his record?

The 30-second ad also describes him as "a combat veteran who has been praised by former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under both Presidents Reagan and Clinton" and an "author of a strategy to win the war on terror."

In his book "The New War," which like his scandalous 1971 book, "The New Soldier," is out of print, Kerry claimed: "Terrorist organizations with specific political agendas may be encouraged and emboldened by Yasser Arafat's transformation from outlaw to statesman."

The Post noted, "Kerry's remarks came as he was dismissing noted historian Paul Johnson as out of date for saying the Palestinian Liberation Organization is 'the quintessential terrorist movement' but has achieved nothing for its people
